Dude, this is like if your lady came home with a new man and was like, "Hey, I'm leaving your ass... eventually."
Poor Raiders fans, they should seriously boycott the remaining games in Oakland.

New England doesn't have a draft pick in the top 130 which has to be an unacceptable situation for Bill B. Everyone assumed Malcom Butler would go and they automatically get a 1st round pick. But now Bob Kraft says he definitely wants Butler to stay and hopes to sign him up long term. One way or another they will make moves to get picks.
Not to gloat but Bill Parcells said the NFL is getting easier and easier for Belichik to master.
This is something I keep thinking but the media never mentions. Is it just considered impossible to draft a cornerback and have him start. The 85 Bears defense had 2 starters hold out and replaced them with rookies and look how that worked out. I know the CB is kind of alone out there but a good team and coach can give a lot of help on the field to their 2nd CB.
This is funny but probably not rational. The Vegas line had the Texans at 40-1 for the SB. As soon as they got rid of Osweiler it jumped to 16-1, also based on a rumor they would get Romo. Another Lol is that the Texans owner said he was surprised beyond belief and it was like a dream they all had but he never expected to come true when his GM was able to trade Osweiler and his 10 million salary after a year with more picks than TDs.

These teams don't care anything about their fans. A lot of the owners are rich parasites. I can understand economic necessity, but in my entire lifetime I never really thought that applied to any NFL move. Actually I know quite a few guys in my Chicago suburb who are Raiders fans and are pissed off. Are the Raiders moving right away or do they have to wait to build a stadium? Oh, Ran-D already answered that. When will it happen? My theory on 2 pro teams suddenly moving to Vegas is that football played once a week will have lots of locals in the stands and hockey with so many games will be mainly tourists. They're both very expensive tickets. I'm sure many people will plan their trips to Vegas for when their hockey team is paying there.
The Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes in hockey are another story. The owner had to bankrupt them, and the NHL controlled the team (don't know if they still do). A Canadian super rich guy tried to buy the team and move them to Hamilton Ontario, but the league blocked it, and blocked several subsequent attempts to relocate them. But now the NHL is going to force relocation unless they build a new stadium, which given the costs is a very risky proposition. New stadiums generate increased attendance, but what little fan base they have is very disillusioned and the team almost always sucks. Southern hockey teams have historically gotten a boost from Northern transplants to generate interest. This never worked out in Arizona no matter how many people moved there.

The Vegas stadium won't be ready until 2020, but 2017-18 are their last contracted seasons in Oakland, so that leaves them a year with nowhere to go. There's talk of them sharing Levi's Stadium (I sure hope not), and supposedly San Antonio has offered to house them for a year.

That would definitely be weird if they went to San Antonio. If they stay in the Bay area, yeah definitely a fan revolt. Without me knowing, it's apparent UNLV is a no go.

I am happy to hear he retired. His back was a serious issue and he's made enough money already, so move on and enjoy the analyst job Tony.

When I first saw the story I figured the contract had an escape clause in case Romo got a playing offer he found desirable, but since CBS gave Phil Simms the heave ho, I guess Romo really retired.

I don't think I've ever even heard the dudes voice to be honest with you. So, no, I can't say I'm excited.

The reports were that Romo was good. He has a long frienship with CBS exec Jim Nance.

Wonder if he'll replace him on Inside The NFL (since I think they're owned by the same company)

Could be. When Inside the NFL went from HBO to Showtime they didn't bring Dan Marino with them. Watched the show religiously but never seen it since the network change. Mariano and Simms are competent analysts but if they sacked Marino for not being exciting/controversial enough Simms has to rate lower on the excitement factor. What is the current lineup.

Last time I watched (long time ago) it was Collinsworth, James Brown (?) Simms, and Sapp

So Collinsworth is the only one left from my last viewing. Then they had Chris Carter, Marino and others I forget.
I still saw more episodes with Nick Buoniconti and Lenny Dawson than any others. Collinsworth was the first "youngster" to join them so he must have the longest tenure on the show.
I started to write about the Rush Limbaugh and Dennis Miller disasters but remembered that was Monday Night Football.
I know I posted this several years ago, but the best comedy bit on Inside the NFL was the Wanda Sykes feature on the Doug Williams (first black SB winning QB) School for training black QBS. This was before athletic dual threat black QBs had much acceptance. At the Doug Williams School they attached gallon cans of paint on each ankle to keep them in the pocket.

Go hawks!
I read lynch wants to bring a championship to Oakland before it moves. I may have to be a raiders fan for a second.
