He isn't worth his pay and is a weakness, not strength of the team. He threw away a SB Title and hasn't done shit without Lynch except lose. He gets paid so much they can't afford an Oline. Hopefully he's not so fat this year and can run and produce some good games that clown.
I'd be down to explore other options at QB...if there were really other options. Even if we go 0-16 next year and draft the #1 QB in the country, chances are he'll never be as good of an NFL player as RW. RW is better than Cam Newton and Andrew Luck statistically. Remember when RG3 was good lol? If you don't consider RW Elite, he's still a top 10 QB. Don't see how you throw that away in a league where you almost literally can't win without a good QB. There's only 1 Aaron Rodgers, and there's only 1 Tom Brady. The Seahawks aren't getting either of them. What we do have is a QB who has out played both of the above mentioned players in multiple head to head games. RW out played Brady his Rookie year in Seattle, and again last year in NE. Both games RW clearly outplayed the best QB of all time.
Players like Cousins and Fitzpatrick are demanding RW type money. If you want a good QB for an extended period you have to pay.

We will see what he does this year, last year he wasn't even close to good and he's the cause turmoil in the locker room with his pay to performance ratio. He doesn't get held accountable for his shit play and it's causing a fracture. Draft more QB's in the mid rounds or 3rd round, you could put Aoron Rodgers on The Hawks and it'll be an upgrade at QB, same pay so zero contract issues. Wilson was good when his pay was low and Lynch was 70% of the offense. He scrambled a bit, tossed some TD's, now he's paid to be Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers and he isn't.
Fitzpatrick is unemployed or he signed an $11mil a year deal last I heard 1 year deal, half of Russel's deal. Cousins is a risk, he isn't worth the price so they tag him, which means they aren't locked into a RW situation. They have a smart GM at the moment and he's taking several years to decide on Cousins. There is a lot of pressure on Russel this season we'll see how he does. More 3 point per game performances are surely coming.

Exactly, his play on the field cannot be debated. Now him personally is another story. I know 2 people that work at the Seahawks training facility and yes, the rumors are true, the team is not too fond of RW these days. Apparently before Ciara he was a great guy. He was always trying to learn, he was always at the practice facility..then he got paid and got a superstar girlfriend and now he's a complete Dbag. His interview voice is completely fake as well although I would take "fake white" RW over completely absurd Cam Newton.
But honestly I don't really care as long as it doesn't affect the teams play. The MVP on the team will always receive some animosity from the rest, it's just how things go. Would you be a douchebag if you went from 5th rounder to superstar millionaire dating Ciara? I probably would. But I am worried about him. This season will be very telling, will his quick burst into superstar bring him down?

Psilo you do realize he played on a torn MCL and pec muscle throughout the year right? Any other QB would have been out for weeks.
One last thing and then I won't say anymore I don't want to derail the thread:

I wish he wasn't so terrified the backup would out play him that he sat until his sprain healed.

He's not paid to be Peyton Manning. His current contract is what mediocre QB's on non winning teams are demanding in this market. RW has stats bro, like it or not. Last year was his worse year because he couldn't run. He had like 20 yards rushing after 8 games, compared to almost 1,000 the years before. Once he can combined his timing, scrambling, and vision he'll be better than Brees by the time his career is over. Easily could get in the HOF if he wins another ring or two. No one has ever won more games in their first 5 years than RW. I don't care how good your defense is, put almost any QB behind our line and your not winning that many games. He's saved so many games for us with miraculous plays late in games, and he's only blown a few.
Remember he had Kearse and Baldwin as his #1 and #2 for most his career. Two undrafted, smaller\slower receivers. Now he has Graham, Richardson, Lockett, Baldwin, and Prosise. Much more diverse offense, a little pass protection and he's going to have a great year. I'll make you some humble Frey crow pie when he shreds it up

He makes Aaron Rodgers money and 25 other Quarterbacks make less than Russel in 2017. You're just pulling shit out of your ass and tossing it on the forum.

If it wasn't for him the Hawks would have been forced to invest in a better offensive line..which means less good defense and special teams. Russel Wilson is literally built to play behind a horrid offensive line; his speed, his throw on the run ability, and his awareness make him able to play behind the worst offensive line in the league. What does Brady do behind the Hawks o line? Nothing. Rodgers even has a hard time behind it I would bet.
Once again dude has the second best passer rating in NFL history.
You brought up throwing away a super bowl title..if you have seen the play enough times (and trust me I have) the throw itself was excellent. It was receiver Ricardo lockette that got blew up by Malcolm butler and threw his arms up like a flop, like he was playing basketball. He didn't even try to catch the ball. This along with Brandon browner pointing out exactly what the play call was to Malcolm butler is what caused that pick, not Russel Wilson. And if you are referring to him calling the play..well I guess there's a chance he audibled something idk.
I don't believe in putting a sport game down to one play anyway. Hawks lost that super bowl because of Tharold Simon, the backup slot corner. Jeremy lane broke his arm on a pick earlier in the game and was replaced by Simon, Brady picked on him all day. Hawks would have held on to their 10 point lead with Lane still in the game. Not to mention cliff avril going out of the game, Sherman playing with one arm, and chancellor and Thomas playing with dislocated shoulders.

Look he's overpaid and isn't producing. The season starts soon and we will see if he earns his money this season, or if the defense lives on the field 90% of the game because he can't move the chains.

They should have kept Kaepernick and changed the coaching staff to people who can fit in with Colin's style of play. They were so close to winning the whole thing that year...then they just give up on the QB that took them there?
Just doesnt seem right IMHO

Glad Chancellor got his extension. Losing him would have lost their identity. Plus he deserves it. He's saved so many games by causing big fumbles, or changed momentum with big hits.
Hopefully Thomas doesn't become frail, he's making big money and needs to be on the field as the dynamic duo to win.

He just needs protection. Taller QB's can make quick throws over lineman when under pressure. Wilson can't due to his height. Over half the failed pass plays last year we're under duress usually very quickly. We have more slightly depth and a lot more experience this year. Fant looks huge, he was juicing all off season for sure. Almost all of the NFL are roided out.
They only get tested 1 time per year. If they pass the 1 test they're 100% safe to take whatever they want from then on until the following training camp and preseason. It's random but it's only once and it's before the season after OTA's. That's why I don't feel bad for people who fail. They know all this and still get high, so the high is more important to them than playing. They have to sober up for 4 months max, for huge paychecks.

More like they gave up on the coach that took them there. Kaep will never be good without Harbaugh.

Any radical change would help the bears now. The big problem is the 2 85 year old owners who don't have any other business. Chicago would get another team quickly and they would get the bears name.
The only problem with Utah is I read a couple articles that said they would be unlikely to get another pro team because the Mormon majority is not supposed to indulge in recreation on Sundays. They said the Jazz doesn't play on Sundays except when playoff schedules demand it.
The Baltimore NBA team was the bullets.

It shouldn't take 5 years, that would be pretty horrible.
