If the death penalty was re-introduced in all states and Canada, the murders would go down because people would think twice about killing someone. Thus "Less" killings!

I don't really see the death penalty as a deterrent -- especially in crimes of passion where thought doesn't really occur -- and it might even be argued, that certain socio-paths with a suicidal bent, might see it as an incentive. A way to get the government to put them out of their misery...

The bible says thou shalt not murder. It's different. The bible advocates killing people in a great many cases. And I don't give a fuck what it says in the bible, which I think is a crutch for idiots. I absolutely believe the death penalty is a deterrent. If you knew you would get it if you killed. Average sentence for murder is like 10 years. Fuck that. The only problem with the death penalty is that I don't trust anyone else to impose it. That having been said, I also believe in the punishment model of justice, as opposed to the rehabilitation model. "Fuck you, here's the deal, act right or get out" I don't really give a shit why you can't stop hurting people, I just know you're GONNA stop. I would merrily pull the trigger on this fuck.

Costs more to execute someone than to imprision them. Down with the death penalty, killing people to teach people not to kill people is faulty logic. Plus would not you rather die than waste away in a cell?

I d say give em all the snip that should mellow em all out a bit and by snip I mean the whole thing. Then make em work and send all the cash to the relatives of the deceased. Then give them a life with no t.v, music just carefully selected books and try to educate them.
Either that or give em brain surgery.

I remember that. People were going crazy around here.
Ducking behind their cars when they pumped gas and stuff.
The home depot that lady got shot at is like right down the street.
I don't know what I think about it. Murder isn't right period.
Unless you are defending yourself and that is the only course of action.
Murdering murderers is the same fucking thing, there is no justice in that.
No one learns anything.
But of course, the system doesn't work. And these guys went on a killing rampage as a statement against their government and the military (which trained them to kill I might add..the older guy anyway) While I think that probably wasn't the best way to get attention, everyone ignored that. But of course this got more media attention then.,..I don't know... say.. the massive slayings of innocents by the military ala massacre. But that's the military, they're allowed to kill people. RIGHT?!?!
I don't know what I think about it. Fuck your guns and fuck your system.
