Win10 wireless disconnect issue

I've searched the internet and microsoft site, but can't get an answer. My wireless connection automatically disconnects every few minutes. It's impossible to get anything done as a result.
More specifically, the connection to the router is there, but the internet is disconnected. The error message is 'connected, no internet'.
The google results say to disable wireless sense so my laptop won't look for connections, but that didn't help. I've tried all the other fixes without success too. Has anyone resolved this issue? It began about 2 months ago. I have a crappy old win8 machine on the same wireless router without issue. RR

Hello
A few questions for you to help diagnose your problem:
Have you tried turning it off and on again? Is this machine a desktop or a laptop? Are you sure it's in proper range of the router? Do you know what kind of router you are running? Do you know what kind of wireless network card you are running? Have you installed the latest version of the drivers for your wireless network card? Can you ping the router while it is connected without internet?
(To ping a router:
Hit Windows key + R, type in cmd, hit enter, you are now in a command prompt. Type: "ipconfig", hit enter, look for a line that says "Default gateway", a common default gateway would be 192.168.2.1, note the address down Now type "ping x" where x is the address of the default gateway, what is the response you get?)
What happens exactly when you try to access http://www.google.com/ when you're connected to the router but not to the Internet? In the bottom left of the screen should be a message while the page is trying to load, and then it should give an error after a while, what is the message and what is the error?
You say that your win8 machine runs fine while the other machine isn't connected to the Internet, have you confirmed this? Have you tried resetting your router to factory settings?
I think it might be something to do with either DHCP or DNS. Can you right click the wireless symbol in the bottom right and hit "Open Network and Sharing Centre", then click "Change adapter settings", double click your wireless connection, a screen will pop up, and then hit details. Can you take a screenshot of this window?
That's all I can think of.

Grab a linux live cd, boot into it and then configure the network with network manager or w/e, does it still happen?
If yes, then its a problem with your hardware, router or isp.
If no, then either use a real OS or reformat your windows and bend over for microsoft again.

I have seen a similar problem on a friend's Windows 7 machine. His solution was to replace the router. He had several computers on the network . Only one, a wired machine, had connectivity problems. The wireless machines didn't.
I have seen another issue with Windows 10 and 8.1 wireless machines. These o/s's don't support all the wireless security types that Windows 7 and 8 did. There can be a mismatch between the router's wireless security type and the computer's wireless security settings.
here is a link that has some info that may help with your problem http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Networking-and-wireless/Security-types-do-not-match/td-p/3201593

Hi and sorry to reply late, I was away for years and am just back the past couple of days. I had this exact problem with my surface 3 and notebook, both on Win 10 and during the same time frame that this was posted (a month ago.) The first 5 days or so I tried everything I could come up with, such as the advice given here. My android and IOS devices connected as always with no issues. After a couple of weeks things went back to normal, though I had given up before then and even ordered a non intel wireless card (killer branded something or other.). I never have installed it and now have no connection issues. I believe it was a driver problem from an update but that's just my instinct, I have no strong reason to back it up. Has yours also started working correctly?
I also suspected my ISP, a large national wireless carrier. They have old tech that they call a gateway they force customers to use...I really should switch to a better service...
