A final farewell to the community... 2

[This post was made by a close friend of morbiddoctor/sporehead, to allow his online friends to send well-wishes and their goodbyes]
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
On the morning of 11/16/2016, morbiddoctor (AKA sporehead) left us. This has come as a shock to his friends and family, as he has made great strides to deal with his struggle with drug use to try to find some sense of normalcy in this world. Unfortunately, the substance that allowed him to stay here also helped him leave. It is with great sorrow that I am posting this farewell in his honor.
Morbiddoctor is an amazing, unique individual who is a beacon that brought so many beautiful people together. His love for his family and friends is palpable and everyone who met him were immediately drawn to him. He lived life in search of something to love and ground himself. He found many hobbies along the way, and took great strides to learn as much as he could and share it with the people he chose to surround himself with.
I would just like to plead to anyone who may be struggling with depression, self-acceptance or any other mental or health issues to tell someone before you take your life. Sporehead had so many friends that would have come to his aid, but his actions were impulsive, quick and silent. We will all truly miss him and all of our future experiences that will never be.
On behalf or morbiddoctor, I would like to thank everyone in this community for their support and all of the time we have shared together.
Farewell, and good luck on all of your journeys!

We are willing to take any donations on his behalf to help pay for funeral expenses and pay for family and friends that can not afford the $1000+ travel expenses to attend the funeral. We appreciate any help, regardless of how much. This is not required, and will be just as happy to receive replies to this post.
Thank you for your support!

If anyone is willing to share any stories, or just leave a personal message I will pass them on to his family and friends.

Rest well my friend, you were a great light in my world. To the rest of us who live on to heal our wounds: my shoulder is open as well as my heart. My condolences and well wishes to all who struggle with our new reality.

Damn. I took a break on here when we were supposed to trade and just noticed this. I'd even PM'd him asking about his last grows. This is awful. We were supposed to meet up since we lived near one another. Extremely sorry to hear about this. Rest easy, MD.

This is morbid doctor. He was a caring, loving soul. He had a great passion for plants and mushrooms. This passion was one he selflessly shared with anyone. I was lucky enough to share these passions with him. He always loved giving. Whenever we hung out he always sent me home with something, even if it was only knowledge and a new view on life. His smile was infectious, and he always new how to lift your spirits. For me he was many things; a mentor, a brother, a friend, and a shaman. I say, with a heavy heart, that we lost a great one. He will forever be missed.

Damn, that makes me even more upset connecting the screen name to a real, living thing. I wish I'd gotten to know him better when I had the chance. He seemed super cool and was eager to trade with me. Sorry for your loss, Mike. Did you guys meet on the boards?

I'm very sad to hear this news.
We never met, but Morbiddoctor was a great member of this community. We messaged one another and traded a few times. He was always very generous and eager to help.
We were trading for seeds, and he went out of his way to help me plan out my garden. I had the pleasure of tasting some of his homemade hot sauce made from peppers he grew. I still have a few of the dried/smoked hot peppers that he sent me. I'm going to make way too spicy beans in his honor tonight.
This project, and his obvious passion for it was super inspiring to me. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22688272
I started crying while looking for that link. We didn't really even know one another, but I will miss you. Rest in peace my friend.
