We're living in a new McCarthy era. Before, it was an anti-communist witch hunt. Now that communism is dead in Russia, it's an anti-peace witch hunt.
"You spoke with someone in Russia to see if you can make peace? Traitor!"
Unreal.

There is a difference between making peace and looking the other way for personal favors.
Personal favors by Trump by Russia are suspected. Trump seems to want to look the other way while Russia does what it wants.
It's called selling out and losing the new cold war.

You're insinuating that Trump is being blackmailed by the Russian government without any evidence, don't you think the US intelligence agencies would know about this IF it were true? What are they doing about it?
Basically you're full of nonsense as always.

I'm with qman on this. What personal favors are you talking about? All that I see Trump doing is building up our military and threatening more sanctions against Russia unless they surrender their only warm water base in Crimea.
Got any real world examples, or am I right about us entering a new McCarthy era?

I think we should increase military spending even more. 35 billion is peanuts. Let's go for at least $100 billion, if not $1 trillion. 35 billion is pussy spending.

We don't know Trumps investments in Russia. He seems all cozy with Putin like he's his favorite circle jerk buddy.
I never said blackmail.

Republicans do love denying truths. And it appears you do too.
So no evidence at all? Just "The Establishment wants me to repeat this so I am"???
Edit: Anyone should feel free to help Morel Guy out. If anyone has evidence that Trump is "cozy with Putin", please share it. I want to learn something.

Any specifics? Or do you just repeat establishment talking points?
I'm just trying to learn something, I'm not trying to win an argument.

You believe anything the establishment tells you to believe. Does that make you smart about how the world works?
Again, I'm trying to learn something. Do you have evidence of Trump's coziness with Putin, or don't you?

No, history is not the establishment. Maybe you can you point me to a historical article where Trump is cozy with Putin?
Again, I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm asking you to tell me why you're right.

But if you have no evidence to support your position, then you're probably wrong.

Its a very real possibility.
I was listening to the newest Intercept podcast earlier, and they had an ex FBI special agent on and he was talking about how the "compromising intel" angle is one of maybe 5 possibilities. But it is a possibility. It could also be that the Kremlin saw Trump as a useful idiot, or a softer target than Hillary. We might never know the full extent.

This is also true. There's been no direct link between Trump and Putin. Now, was Trump more than likely aware that his entire cabinet was having conversations with Russian envoys and ambassadors, at the least? Yeah. But theres been no evidence yet. The calls for Sessions' resignation are indeed with merit, though.

So illogical. Lack of evidence shouldn't take away possibility. In the world of spy verses spy it's good to think of all possibilities.
