Great news for the Hawks if so. It means they can win the division again with an ever increasingly heavy and less accurate QB. Then go on to lose in the playoffs promptly. 9ers need to draft a QB and a whole new team while they're at it. Schaub is abysmal, i'd hope they avoid him.

Cousin's wants out because the redskins are a cluster f*ck of an organization. The owner meddles in the team's personnel and was never committed to Kirk. He loved RG3 and fired Shanahan for drafting Cousins.

Discount would need to be high enough to build an actual O-Line. He wont survive behind Seattle's $5 offensive line. I mean Fat Russel who shows up significantly heavier after each off season can't survive behind it now. If he wants the same type of money it's the same problem. Neither of them are worth Rodgers money and even Rodgers own team suffers behind that bloated contract. They would do better developing Boykin and building an Oline, while getting a true #1 power RB and some new pass rushers. But Russel goes 3 and Out so often he gets boo'd at home games now, so if it was Kirk at 19mil/year for 3 years over Russel at 21.9mil a year for 3 years i'd go with Kirk. The Redskins are struggling badly with the QB contract situation badly because they don't wanna end up like Seattle and Baltimore, once great DEFENSIVE teams, that massively overpaid their QB's and are now getting worse with each passing season. At the end of the day Beast Mode was Seattle's offense and Russel did "enough" to make it work with Beast Mode carrying the load. Without Beast Mode making all the hard yards and keeping the defense off the field, the short and ever fatter Russel can't get it done. Like every other team that massively over pays it's QB Seattle is gonna have issues climbing back up to an elite level in all likely hood.
Play for play in the same games Russel was in, Boykin put up a better completion and QBR this season. That is both with the same starters and then with BACKUPS vs another teams full starters, while Russel got to fail with the starters vs that same team. A cheap QB and spending money on RB, Oline, and Defense would be better than overpaying a 3 and out Machine.

Alot of the time I feel Wilson gets lucky or is flukey. He will manage to evade the defender and manage to just fling it in the air and the receiver will make a miraculous catch.

Oh well, more butthurt old men will threaten to boycott the 49ers because of Kaepernick and I will laugh at them. Especially if they start winning...

lol they wont start winning. Tagging Cousins again is probably the most prudent thing to do. He gets another year of massive pay and they get to see if he fails to get them into the playoffs, or deep into the playoffs. You really have to be sure the guy is worth the $22mil+ a year (none are) or your team is doomed. Seattle is on the Decline immediately after Russel's contract and then Lynch's retirement. Same thing for Baltimore, Flacco got a massive contract after winning a SB, but Ray Lewis retired and now the team has gotten worse and worse every year. Hawks haven't had a strong draft since 2012 or 2013, so Pete's edge in the college kids has clearly passed, same as Jimmy Johnson's, so the onus now falls more on Schneider. Dallas is setup the best for the near future, dak and zeke are on bargain deals and they can make a run for a Sb in the next 4 years. Seattle has two more years of putrid Russ before they can escape his bad contract and go back to competing at QB, or Paul Allen can just fire them all if they get married to the QB and the success continues to wane.

They need a good draft and a couple of years to bounce back. Kap is opting out of his contract so he's gone. Free agent QB is what its looking like for San Fran...

I'm going for the Dynasty 3-peat next year in Pickem. Don't slack in the offseason.
That reminds me on why we should keep that rule the way it is. In the last week at least 50% of the teams won't play their starters for more than 1\2 the game. That means were picking on backups with winning not a priority. Week 16 there are A LOT of games that mean something. Picking those games right and being ahead at that point is much more of an achievement than winning in week 17 picking BS backup games. I vote we keep the rule the way it is for this reason
