Too early for outdoor planting?
    #2411426 - 03/09/04 04:00 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

Hello all

what is the ideal time to plant outdoors?
I live in zone 5 (mid-atlantic) we are in the 60's now in the day time and not below freezing at night. I doubt cubies will survive the winters here, but brugmensias do so we will see what we will see.

Thanks

KI

Its never too early to be making up spawn.
I don't really know zone 5 though, but in zone
8 i have started some outdoor woodlover beds already.
If it gets too cold, they just slow down their growth,
or stall untill warmer weather.

the general rule of thumb is to start "planting" when night temps don't go below 50F.
