Cable Modem, Router, and Switch Help
    #2411133 - 03/09/04 02:44 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

I have the equipment listed above. All of them are connected to give internet access to 5 computers. My router is an inexpensive one and only has the ability to DMZ 1 computer. I need to DMZ 3 computers and leave the rest firewalled. The router is 4 ports, switch is 5 ports. Do I need additional equipment to make this possible?

Why would you want to DMZ any computers, let alone 3. Any services you require should be able to be accomplished with some simple port forwarding.

I think one of the ports on the router can be put in the DMZ. If you had a switch plugged into that port I think anything attached to that switch will be in the DMZ.
