Yeah mechanical keyboard probably not so great for work.. unless you are in a office by yourself or something... I love it personally but I know that CLACK CLACK CLACK noise bothers the fuck out of some people. I'm a loud enough typer on a standard keyboard.. my neighbor already makes comments when I'm typing really fast. I'd drive people insane on my mechanical
Never heard of that brand..looks like your standard made in china. It has decent enough reviews, get whatever you like and can afford. If I'm gonna shell out more than $20 for a keyboard I'd go with a known brand like Corsair or Ducky or something like that but that's me.
I use one of these at work, and it's decent enough ergonomic keyboard I suppose for not flaring up any symptoms.. fuck the mouse though.. I can never use anything but a traditional mouse - https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/products/keyboards/sculpt-ergonomic-desktop/l5v-00001
My at home keyboard is a ducky shine 3

I ended up developing really bad RSI and it was so bad that I couldn't use a computer at one point. I was getting really bad pain in my wrists and arms and I also started to get thoracic outlet syndrome.
I ended up buying a Microsoft Natural Keyboard and an Evoluent Vertical Mouse which both do wonders for my RSI since my hands are in natural positions. I also bought a high quality ergonomic office chair. I'm still looking at getting a foot rest and a keyboard tray, possibly a tray that contains a manoeuvrable arm that connects to the desk so that it can move however I want/need it to.
If your workplace won't provide you with this equipment then buy it yourself and claim it back on tax as a work expense if you can. Buying it yourself means you can take it with you where ever you go.
Take RSI very seriously because you don't want to end up with a chronic pain condition that fucks up your life in so many ways.
Hey.
Thanks for your post. I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. Have things improved for you with your ergonomic equipment? I have read good things about the MS Natural keyboard. I liked how the Kinesis Freestlyle 2 was completely split in half and could be angled downwards from the middle. I think it'll feel good when typing for sure when I get it in the mail.
My work luckily has a keyboard tray that I just started using today and it really has already helped my hands/wrists. I don't know why I didn't use it before. As soon as I used the tray and lowered it real low and angled it backwards 15 degree I actually felt a cooling sensation in my forearms; all the tenseness of my muscles went away!
I appreciate the kind words!

Yeah, things have improved and I can use computer just fine now as long as I have ergonomic equipment. I started to have trouble using a Playstation controller too but my physiotherapist told me to hold it higher and close to my body and then I was fine. I also considered one of those split in half keyboards and I also looked at a game controller that has buttons and joysticks that can be re-programmed to behave the way I want them to. The controller I was interested in is called a Scuf controller.
So many things matter when it comes to ergonomics. Even your position in relation to windows and other light sources matters because you can end up getting eyestrain, headaches and migraines.

The first word in the thread title is "ergonomic." Do you not read thread titles and just click on every thread?

I was responding to the most previous post, and hadn't read any of the thread before it and up to that point.
You wanna talk about it? How are your feelings?

You don't have to have read any of the thread to understand the premise of the thread. The first word in the thread title sets the premise, along with the second and fourth words.
