I want it too, but I'm not buying nintendos garbage consoles. They should just make games for PC and consoles. That is their strength. I'm going to try to download this now.

What is a good WI 2 emulator?

that's what I'm saying with dark souls 3 on p.c. the game pops and feels fresh

zelda on the switch just feels like the missing 2gb's of RAM they didn't put in the wii u thanks to disc reading speeds

Yeah.  I read that the switch cartridges taste terrible.  Apparently they add a bittering agent to the carts to keep little kids from eating them.

If you haven't bought one because of price i suggest waiting (duh).

I have a feeling we'll see a "diet-switch" release that may not have the screen, or at least doesn't use as much hardware and drastically reduces price.

Just a feeling i have.

The new trend this generation has been "release multiple models oc the same thing". Look at scorpio, and ps4pro, i wouldn't be surprised if they do the same.

Then again nintendo has never been one to follow trends.

in a couple years they'll release a switch with twice the RAM and it'll be 4G lol
but yeah I'm looking at the comparisons and the wii u and switch version look almost identical
it seems like the gaps in quality in previous builds was either do to the lighting or the release and it had nothing to do with hardware
the game is essentially a wii u game running on the switch they say it actually runs better in portable mode

so hey there's a reason not to go out and buy a switch just yet if you're worried about money, the only thing you'll get out of it is loading times that are twice as fast and a few less hiccups during play sessions

Yeah. I know some of the devs for Cemu (Wii U emulator).. was sent a Beta build that supports BOTW.... worked for a few hours but then no more :frown:
They are working hard on it though and are hoping to have a new build out this week that supports it fully.. but might take them a while to get one that works flawlessly
Yes I pirated it but I fully support the Devs.. once I have a few solid hours in I'll probably be buying the game anyway just to support it. I don't even have a Wii U or switch lol.
That's generally how I roll, I'll usually pirate a game and play it to see if I like it. If I love it I'll almost always buy it to support the devs. I had no pre-concieved about this game so had no expectations.. but mind was blown.

But yeah.. I only got a few (buggy) hours into the game... but holy fuck man. I'm a diehard Zelda fanatic since I was like 3.. but holy shit man. This game is next level.
I haven't gotten far enough in to experience much... but holy shit. I'm already saying best Zelda ever for sure and best game ever made. I can't wait until I have a couple hundred hours in it.

This is the Zelda Miyamoto always dreamt of. It's so varied and complex and no hand holding or hints.. it's a challenge. It's epic. The vision has been realized.
Completely open world.. you can go anywhere even at the lowest levels, you could walk right into Gannon's castle from the start, assuming you can make it there without dying.
But there's no "restricted zones until you do XXY"... you can go anywhere. But you might not have the equipment to survive it long. For example there's super hot areas where you will slowly die if you don't have the right gear or herbs or whatever.
There's "mini" dungeons and quests all over the place. The puzzles are all over the place - you wont be doing the same things over and over.
The mobs are fucking crazy and interesting with all kinds of different interesting dynamics. Holy fuck this game is good.

I can't even begin to describe it... words do it no justice... game is fucking legendary.

/impatiently waiting for Cemu to release an update so I can get my fix

I just watched someone play it, I find it a bit silly but thats my taste. I think It would have been cooler as an mmorpg

lol... no. Zelda is and always will be a single player experience. Unless you are talking about the game boy/gamecube games with battle mode and co-op and shit

But purist Zelda is a single player game.

Ugh, BOTW is really that good?  I've been contemplating getting a ps4 (finally), but I do want to play this game.  I'm not a big gamer, but I still worry that I'd get a wii U & never find another game for it that I like after I beat Zelda.  I mostly use my ps3 for Netflix, amazon prime, YouTube, & blu-rays though.  Can you do all that shit on a wii U?

It's the best game ever made.

I don't know what you can do on a Wii-U, don't own one, haven't researched it.
I assume it's similar to a Wii in that it can probably do most of that if you hack it, blue-ray may be questionable. Google!

I guess you "can" but have to convert to mp4 first.. ghetto. Nintendo been lacking in the hardware dept the past few gens IMO, hence why I don't really do the consoles anymore.
Per Nintendo, the answer is no Blueray or DVD. You can get around with some tricksy tricks but it's ghetto and not like you are just popping in a disc and going.
But I guess Netflix, Hulu, Youtube and shit all comes on it stock

What happens when you beat it though? I always thought that the best games ever made were mmorpg's because it was never ending with constant end game material

"Best game ever made" is HIGHLY fucking subjective... but as a lifelong professional gamer I think I can objectively say BEST GAME EVER
I may be somewhat slightly biased as I was raised on Zelda. 33 years of zelda. But yeah.

Zelda already had several spots in my top 5 games of all time. This just took 1.

never ending games with constant grinding you get burned out from that shit. I know from extensive experience. WoW was "cool as shit" in its prime but fuck that stupid game now TBH.

Zelda never gets old really. It's timeless classics. But this is the best one ever made.
Have you even ever played any of the old zeldas? It doesn't sound like it.

What happens when you beat it? You get an amazing sense of self satisfaction and achievement.
Then you play it again on the master quest or whatever. You learn new secrets and new ways of doing things.
Who knows what happens when you beat this one, there's people with 100+ hours in it already that haven't beaten it.
Replay value is through the fucking roof.
