How to cool down a setup

hey hey !! The question is pretty simple but i'd like to know if you guys heard of stuff i never heard !! Where i live it's almost already the time to think to cool down the room where they are growing instead of heating it . I like to have the temperature around 72-74 F when the fruits are growing. I was wandering how to cool down a room where it gets easily to more than 80F ?
I don't really want an air cooling system in my window especially not at this time of the year. Is there different ways to cool down a room ? I know it'd be possible with a system of radiators and cool water, but my water supply is too far .. I know too that air cooling systems usually produces as much or more heat than they produce "cold", so you can't just put it in the room like you put an heater.. Is there some new stuff to cool down ? ?

a small circulating pump with copper tubing and salt water... it's self contained and quite efficient for cooling small areas

dobinky, dry ice may not be the best choice as it is C02. Would inhibit pin formation if left in the terrarium setup.
I was thinking about cooling methods myself not too long ago. Warmer weather is coming.

that he did, my bad. well, in that case it may work. depending on the dimensions of this room, it may take quite a bit of dry ice to drop the temp 6 degrees.

Interesting. So is the cooling action created by the salt+copper? And how can you regulate that so it isn't freezing in a sealed room?

The nitrogen and dry ice i don't like the idea ! I just don't want to carry some liquid nitrogen and dry ice in my appartment and it'll be a wat too messy ! Thanks anyway !

I would recomend you use 1/4 soft copper in coils, build a box to encase and protect the coils, it also helps direct airflow, to cool the room use a fan and make sure it blows across the coils and not through the center, a computer fan would be a good start it may take a couple of days of monitoring to find if the temp it will remain constant...
the brine mix.... start with enough water to fill the system 3/4 of the way, add about a cup of salt and disolve into the water over heat, continue adding salt until no more salt will disolve, this is a hyperutectic mix.
test run, fill it with tap water and check for leaks, if it ok, fill the system and expel all the air.
everything you need should be at home depot, pond pumps, fittings and copper tubing... make sure it the coiled stuff and be careful there is a reason its called 'soft copper'
A setup that cools even more is the same but substituting Amonia for the water

just put a freeze a few mineral water bottles then place one in your terrarium and alternate them between freezer and terrarium as needed. works fine for me in summer.

yeah, i used hanky's method... i used ice paks that i had for camping. worked fine. the periodic cold shocking stimulates fruiting. or, at least i chose to believe that.
