 Finally wrestled the roomate

Friend who I have been living with who outweighs me by 35 pounds and who always acts the alpha and who has no fight training except for 1 year hs wrestling
Me who is passive and nonthreatening and smallish and has 1.5yrs tae-kwon-do, 6months kung-fu, 8 months BJJ.
He had been disrespecting me in small ways and acting alpha since we moved in together which irritated me at times. Finally culminated tonight when we had been drinking and I showed his GF a basic hip throw and momentum manipulation.
He thought he would be able to own me at wrestling starting from a standing position.
about a minute later he has a bruised/maybe cracked rib and is literally crying and I am hoping I am not going to have to pay for a trip to the hospital. I wasn't even trying to hurt him, just defend, I feel like a total asshole but am glad that I can defend myself.

I just read several people have been charged with sexual battery and rape for that move lmao.

I had no hopes checking back on this thread so soon, you motherfuckers had me laughing out loud.
I seriously didn't mean to, he came at me and it was pretty much a blur until his GF made us stop. He didn't even realize he was hurt until a couple minutes later because of adrenaline.

Trust me that's completely normal and it'll be that way for a while but just start small i.e. this class my goal is to not get caught in side control or if i get caught in side control ima shrimp like hell lol. But you got this

Don't worry about it man you could probably already beat up a version of yourself who hadn't started BJJ, and after a few months you will be dangerous to most people who haven't trained, keep at it! I am a newb too.

No doubt. My first class was pitiful. I had no idea what I was doing and was thrown all over the place. Now I can at least stay on the mat for 2 hours and put up a fight. I still suck, but theres definitely improvement
