A 1/4" brown spot that was there @ begining of colonization, but has since dissapeared means its probably nothing to worry about, again birth it at monitor for further growth.

Green mold is "most likely" not toxic, BUT as with an unloaded gun, you still don't point it at your head and pull the trigger, thus I wouldn't eat a shroom from a green moldy cake, well maybe I would, but only if green mold was far away from mushy....

As for the dark spot that isn't there anymore........I don't know what to tell you, I don't think a MOLD of any kind in such a confined area would just disappear, so you should be ok.
