200(shows) x 3(hours) is 600 hours max. Its much less than that though, just sayin.

He did way more than 200 shows. There was all the UFC on fox shows, and other things besides the PPVs.
He did a lot more than commentate as well. He did all the interviews of the fighters for the promos, not to mention all the weigh-ins and other promotional stuff he did in the days leading up to an event.
He's awesome in my book.

I always thought he was a coke head and didn't really appreciate his commentating very much. That being said, I don't know why they wouldn't have honored him to some degree.
What exactly was the nature of the departure?

WME-IMG let him go without giving him any reason. Just like they've done with a lot of the staff.
Mike Goldberg was a technician. Joe Rogan was the analyst. It was a perfect team, IMHO.
I doubt we'll be seeing Joe Rogan doing it for more than a couple more years.

I wish I lived in Vegas, I'd bet on these fights
Why can't you bet? I can send you a Bovada ref code if you want. It's the same exact thing as betting in Vegas. You get checks over night to you (free). I bet about $50-100 an event.
You can pick person v. person, or go further into rounds, how it's finished, etc. Bovada is awesome IMHO.
You can bet on any mainstream sport (and some not-so-main stream) and it's a full casino as well.
Thanks, that would've really helpful

He was an expert in everything mma.
Each and every show the UFC puts on, a huge number of viewers are first time l viewers or very new. One of Goldie's jobs was to represent these newbies by asking Joe newb questions. This way Joe can explain some technique or series of events.
His "not so bright" moments were really him just a cue for Joe to speak up and start explaining stuff.
He did make some mistakes during commentary, but it was never major and it was bound to happen when you are commentating for over 5 hours straight almost every week for almost twenty years.
Can't wait for bellator to swoop him up.

If Arlovski loses, and there is a significant possibility he will, I really hope he retires his often concussed brain.

Can't believe Cowboy got put away. And Arlo, I think it's almost time he wraps it up as much as I love to watch him put the gloves on.
The thing I love about MMA, is also the thing I hate. Eventually, your heroes will get smashed. Rarely do they get a 2nd run through the division.

That makes it so real. Too bad to see cowboy get finished. I'm a big fan. But I became a fan of masvidal that night also. Everybody was sleeping on him.
I feel like when a fighter is being used as a stepping stone or as fodder for someone the company is trying to hype up, it motivates the shot out of them and they come into the cage like an animal. Like Cub Swanson in his last fight, or Amanda nunes.
Wme needs to start splitting their promos 50/50 or they will continue to lose money promoting a fighter that loses. Imagine if Amanda received 1/3 of ronda's promotion? She'd be huge right now all over the world.

Joe Riggs fighting in a "bare knuckle" boxing match:
It's not truly bare knuckle since they're taped up, but I do think this is intriguing.
I've read compelling arguments that this actually would make combat sports safer because you'd have less head trauma and maybe even less hand injuries. Boxing gloves, and to a lesser extent MMA gloves, protect your hands so that you can smash your cushioned fists against hard surface, like a persons skull or elbows, with a reduced risk of injuring your hands. This leads to a greater volume of punches and a greater beating against the skull since there's more incentive for volume and precision. That and your hands are way bigger making it easier to land on your target.
Without gloves, there's a greater incentive for precision rather than volume since you will give your hands a greater beating with a higher volume of punches landed.

What do you have against Holly Holm? She's lost two in a row already. Just want to see someone kicked while they're down or are you a huge Germaine de Randamie fan? Because I don't think there are many huge Germaine de Randamie fans.
On another note, Ian McCalled Off's fight has been canceled for tonight. Fourth time in a row this has happened in his fights, this time it's his fault.
This means that UFC Fight Pass subscribers get to be delighted with ONE fucking fight tonight. UFC Fight Pass has been meh lately.

I echo the sentiments of many fans and media. Bad judging and terrible reffing, particularly in the last two fights.
You know UFC is regretting creating that featherweight decision.

Nothing against her except she isn't who I bet my money on. I'll consult you next time I place bets to keep you pacified.
I don't know about you.. but I don't generally want the person I'm betting on to get beat up/subbed/lose.

Your post was just missing some variant of this smiley:

I never bet on fights, but I probably would have gone with Germaine. Other than the Ronda Rousey fight, Holly Holm has never looked like a destroyer in the UFC. If anything, she usually looks a bit one-dimensional and tentative, especially against other strikers. I root for her because I find her to be likable. I'm hoping we get an opportunity to see Cyborg smash the smug off de Randamie's face.
