I took one months ago and I'm currently top fruiting some grains with it. Gunna test for potency but if it's no good I'm gunna ditch it and just keep focusing on ms.
Been having a lot more fun with MS lately so I figured why bother cloning

Nice pins dude

MS 4 EVA

ms !? damn , please elaborate  ; where are you putting the holes in the tub ? sub ? cased?

27qt sterilite

2.25 qt spawn MS
Half brick coir
1 qt verm
2.25 quart water

Cased at spawn with 1qt of the bulk used to spawn

2" holes default monotub setup (4 above sub 2 under handles)

Introduced fruiting after 7 days

Default pastys EZ micropore dialed monos setup

Flipped the lid and removed a layer of MP tape after pinset filled in

Been trying to provide enough water for the pinset by peeling the liner and watering once a day. Might not be necessary but I was noticing quite a few aborts before I started doing that.

Looks crazier today.
This will be my first wall to wall canopy if everything works out
:excited:

Fair warning there's a good chance I'll be spamming again tonight when I see the progress from today

There's also holes on the bottom? Like the SGFC? Or no needs?

Only six holes as he described. 2 on each long side at substrate level and one under each handle...

<3 Thank you, I wasn't sure about what I was reading
I'm going to try this next time for my cubs, this is so pretty, same thing for your unmodified mono, this is so beautiful, the results won't be the same I guess ^^

Harvesting of a little Pans tray  The little trays worked better than the mono, even with misting the casing when the little shrooms were growing, they liked

awesome work , i will try to replicate the qty ratio on my next tubs ;

and i always thought that clones would work a lot better than the ms grow they came out from ; better pin sets and whatnot  ; why not clone ?

Finally getting some really nice MS from my genetics here...This is better ratios and better water content making better fruits... Currently running 2:6 in 14L Sterilites cased at day 5 and fruited at day 10.

I'm just an observer and have never done this, but it seems pans really like trays and have lackluster (as a whole) monos.

Thank you

And very nice petri dish!
So you took a drop from MS syringe and now you're trying to get a pure culture?
Sorry if my question sound weird, but it's new for me...

I'm also trying something like this, but from a grain transfer on agar. I don't know if this is because of the H2O2 in my agar, but I find the growth very slow when I see yours. I can see a date, this is the 24th of January when you did it? And what do you exactly put in your agar? Me I've used MYPA with H2O2.

1st transfer, made the 13/01

And I've also tried to clone pans, but there was too much spores on the shrooms, 8 dish on 8 are contaminated with pan spores, I think it should be ok after a transfer?

Cause cloning means taking a bunch of samples, growing each of them out, testing each for potency and I'm fucking lazy
I also only have 2.5 tubs and a lot of cultures I plan on growing.
I'll probably expand soon so I can take on a heavier workload but I'm content with what I'm working with.
All work and no play makes jack a dull boy

I'm assuming that's a rhetorical question

:ooo:
Ok! next time I'll try again to find out if it was for this reason.
Because my mono was a sterilized substrate and the tray pasteurized, maybe this make a difference too?
