Guilty?
    #2405130 - 03/05/04 01:46 AM (14 years, 1 month ago)

Hypothetical situation:
Let's say that I have a friend. (hahahah, you like that one?) Anyways, this friend is going to get into some serious trouble. He has warned me of what he is going to do, repeatedly, and I have ignored it time after time. My friend decides to do something crazy, and ends up getting arrested. What I'm left wondering is, should I be guilty, the same as him? If I could've done something, or said something to help him deal with whatever it was he was going through, and didn't, is it really me that deserves to go to jail? If I could've taken the time to get to the heart of his issue, or just listened to him, he may not have done it. I would be guilty of inaction, right?

This is a no-brainer, bro. Unless you were HELPING him do whatever, then you have nothing to be guilty about. People do stupid shit. It's not everyone else's fault for not keeping the offender shackled down before they could fuck up. Bottomline: most of us have enough free will to NOT do stupid shit, fuck feeling guilty for someone else's mistake.

I see no fault in you. sure you ignored him, but that's not what got him arrested. really we shouldn't apply guilt on ourselves for things other people have done. I cannot push you, only you can push yourself.

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.---senior doobie
