Does anybody have any experience with these? My friend is getting nothing but aborts, they get fat like little marbles , like they're gonna be huge and then just stop growing.

Is anything happening that might shock them into aborting? Is water content still good? Does the substrate feel likeits holding water? Your not spraying the pins themselfs or anything?
Just trying to trouble shot why they might abort.

Theyre growing in the same conditions as two other strains that are doing fine.

Odd, sorry can't help there, I would put it down to genetics and stick to the two strains that work for you.

This won't help but I had some super stain that did the exact same thing, 100's of aborts and a few little fat marble looking ones like you said.

I've had good luck with the regular KS but have never grown the super strain. From what I hear and have seen I don't really think that I want to . There are to many good Asian strains out there.

Well fuck.. at least you guys are getting fully colonized cakes. I'm not even getting that, i've got 12 jars brewing, and there is a contam that's running rampant through them all, only because it has taken them so long to colonize, with most of them not even 20% done. I think we all got screwed with this super strain... damn it.

Always had crappy fruits with the regular Koh Samui, tons of aborts or very small shrooms. Nothing interesting at all.
I currently have a couple rye jars of KSS on the way and hope to have something decent at the end.
In general, I never had any good results with any thai strains.

I've never used this strain on cakes whereas they tend to suck up alot of nutrients that mear cakes cant supply for such big fruiting shrooms. Could be why you're only getting aborts...not enough nutrients, but then again I am not too familiar with nutritional needs and requirements. When I used them on cased wheat straw they produced the biggest yields I have seen in my experience. Where did you get your spores from. This could be a/the problem.

I also had some trouble getting KS to mature. I did however get a fair amount of large marshmellowish little buggers that were the most potent shrooms I've ever come across. They were insane....crazy.

I tend to get some fat little buggers with my B+ cakes and casing. They look wierd but damn, I'd have to go with cheif saying they're some of the most potent by gram i've ever eaten.

Resently birthed cakes of this strain. Seem to do best in rye grass seed as far as colonization goes Good Luck Let us know how they do
