ID Request - Mississippi
    #24041083 - 01/26/17 11:56 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

1.
Found these growing on a pile of wood chips and debris where I'm used to seeing a different kind of mushroom. They mostly grew in clusters and produced dark brown spores. The gills weren't attached to the stem and could be broken off rather easily. They dried up overnight and gained a leathery feel like store-bought mushrooms.

2.
I found this brown mushroom hiding underneath a leaf in the woods. The stem was a bit thin and broke as soon as I tried to pick it up. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted the photo I took when I first found it. The spore print was copper and the cap was about an inch in diameter.

#1 is likely an Agrocybe sp.

#2 with the reddish spore print is probably an Entoloma sp.

Could any of these be edible? I haven't found a good website for common edible mushrooms in my area.
