Questions for those who vote for or support Republicans
    #2404082 - 03/04/04 09:20 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

How far will they have to go before you say, "No more"? How much deviation will you tolerate from conservative principles? At what point will it be time to shoot the bastards?

God fucking dammit will you pitiful liberal bastards give us libertarians a fucking choice. Shit, if we keep our mouths shut we can protect our bedrooms from the Repubs. There is no way we can protect our wallets from the Dems. The Dems are also fucking hideous on Foreign policy. They have fucked it up on every turn. I don't think the Republicans have. That's it. Give me a fucking choice

Are you referring to me as a liberal? How do my questions make me a liberal? My personal opinion is that the current occupant of the Whitehouse fits the mold of a Big Government North Eastern Liberal Republican (if we ignore his former State of residence), as we former Goldwater type conservatives used to refer to them before they became 'neo-conservatives.'

I'll take a shot at this one.

Pointing out that the direction this country is beginning to head towards a totalitarian police state much like the USSR, especially while a "conservative" is in office...

Anyway thats what I take it as...

The same could be said about those who vote for or support Democrats (the left wing and right wing are part of the same bird).

so what about those who vote for or support ralph nader..given that a vote for nader is a vote for bush??...if kerry and bush are two wings on the same bird..then i guess the nader ppl must be the bird brains..

There is another end to the bird... That being said, I have more respect for leftists who vote on principles than those who don't.

It seems that you are not one who votes for Republicans and you're getting off track. I am curious to hear from those of a more 'conservative' bent.

I know what it says. Care to offer the viewpoint of a Republican voter/supporter?

Well, I have a neocon friend who fully supports the idea that we should be acting as a sort of international police force. He admires Bush and everyone in his administration. I brought up the Patriot Act with him, and he doesn't seem too concerned about it. He's opposed to gay marriage, and is an all-around social conservative. Basically the only political issue he and I agree on is that weed should be legal.

I'm not right wing or republican, but I'd like to point out that not all republicans are evil. Some of them are even less evil than most democrats.

Gary Johnson, governor of New Mexico for example.

george w bush is a republican in name only. he has increased the size of government, taken away civil liberties, proposed a constitutional amendment that limits rights, and trashed the EPA.

a true republican is for a goernment that lets states govern their people how the state sees fit instead of the federal government stepping in, an increase in civil liberties, less government spending.... and incase you didnt know... a republican started the enviromental protection agency (EPA). i agree with republican principles.... its a shame republicans dont agree with them anymore.

this election i will be voting for a libertarian candidate. i know he wont be elected, but i have to vote my conscious.

What are those who don't know the difference between "their" and "they're"?

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers
