It seems to be sharpened and have some sped of dark grey material in the center and comes to a point... and some sort of pink gelatinous gummy substance on the opposite end.

Glad I could advance the cause, and help make things just a little bit easier for everybody. Feel free to stuff my tip jar. ;-) haha.

Spending $1.50 for a box of them does sound like a bit less work than what you had in mind. ;-) Cheap, simple, and very effective. It seems like the sort of thing that really should be made part of the official shoebox tek.

I cant wait until I have a culture clean so I can spawn some more. I have the itch to grow, but have been cleaning neglected cultures and new cultures.

You’ve never experienced the dub tub domino effect? My lord you are a lucky man. With scores of em tightly packed together because reasons, it is an inevitable fact of life that dub tub dominoes will be played each morning. So for some it is a solution for sure. I’ve started moving to bigger taller 20 to 25 qt just due to this problem. Taller ones are easier because of having only a lid, usually put on upside down, but have so many shoeboxes I’m still rocking them. Will keep an eye out for those clips

I spawned that shoebox 26 days ago and cased it about a week later. Coir/sand with a bit of verm. I have another that was similar but it blobbed out and the fruits are turning blue. I'm releasing that one into the wild The yellow thing can be a window to the soul if used correctly. If used uncorrectly....well, you'll see
