Nice shoeboxes. My current PE grows looked like that while colonizing. I recommend throwing a casing layer on there eventually. FrankHorrigan has a good tek on it.

Looks like it's asking for air... or extremely vigorous and searching for more food... May be a good idea to throw a casing on there soon
Boxes:

1 shoebox texas, 2 of PE6, and 1 mini, 3 shoeboxes, and 3 botboxes of RW... Dropped 2qts each RW, AA+, red boy, PEU white, and reishi yesterday: 8qts getting an RW clone and 2 will receive f9 MS T2 A2G transfers later tonight or tomorrow after work... just depends on if I'm comfortable the oats are cool enough by the time I lose motivation this evening lol

I put a 1/4 inch-ish pseudo casing at spawn. They ate up through it by day 2-3.. Think they need another? I was thinking they possibly wanted more air but have read others not increasing airflow til pins come.
I'll read Frank's Tek too. Thanks guy's I feel like I may have training wheels on for a few runs haha

I think PE is generally thought to perform better with a true casing (peat, lime, etc) at full colonization ... they're thirsty and slow

My 1st runs ever with the PE. I'll go get casing supplies tonight and see if theyre ready tomorrow. I've read she's slow and these have been going pretty fast. That's made me think the slow part must be waiting on pins.
Hope I can figure PE out....if not it's gonna be a shit show around here I have a few SB's going with 4 more 5qt. spawn bags almost ready to spawn also

Need air, light, and you're overmisting slightly IMO

Thanks, now have lids slightly cracked, in a bright location and will lay off the misting.

Yeah exactly. My shoeboxes dried out before I could get a pinset with PE. But some other people seem to have good luck with them having regular fruiting times like other cubes. Not in my case. Genes seem unpredictable with PE. Super quick to colonize, though. A casing helped save my monos.

Surface conditions were off... would've likely had canopies: nice clusters though

How often should I take the dub tub off for air flow? And I have been fanning for about 10 seconds after I take the dub tub off is that ok? I donβt have any air flow in the room that they are growing in so I donβt really know what to do. Temps are between 24-26 Celsius . And Iβm on night to from pins.
Iβm worried my mushrooms wonβt get that big and Iβm not doing some things right please help

You don't need to take it off at all, the imperfect fit between them allows for sufficient FAE... they really don't need much from here on out... leave the lid on until fruit are nearly touching, then dubtub them... don't fan, just drying things out... shoeboxes are great, and fairly set and forget
