Does anyone think 78.3 is too hot to fruit? I could cool my chamber with a computer fan but Iβd really rather not.
They're tropical fungi... they'll fruit near 100Β°,that's not the issue... the issue lies with making conditions more favorable for contaminants... if it's clesn, should be fine

Going to make sure Iβve got a steady stream of cubes in the rotation going forward. Micro dosing 2-3 times a day made it tolerable to go to work and maintain a positive attitude. The last few weeks have sucked...
Have 3 boxes of my Roatan Honduras clone, 2 Brazilian, an AA+, Caerulescens and Pan. Cyan Australia going and should have an APE in the next day or two. Just shook my GS last night. Some boxes have more sub but thatβs bc they also have more spawn.

Also have 3 plates of RustyWhytes that just started germinating! Canβt wait to get these going Thanks again @Stroph for the print!

lol I was running low in tubs and had two jars that were good to spawn, laziness dictated I not drive into a holiday shopper filled walmart and get more... ... usually just 1 half gallon jar 1:1 with coir, got a dozen quarts sized ones to try and see if I will switch permanently Anywho, usually about 1 1/2 quarts per tub, but since that's 2 it's like 3... Gonna be doing 2 quarts per as I transition over..
p.s only things I like thickk are my women and blunts G.

@BrainBulb your cams have some tough blood, they have been aggressive the whole way thru, made this box Christmas eve.

Literally half the spawn used as this AA+ box made same day

Nice! Thatβs awesome to see! The Hondurans and Cams were my first grows. Spawned them at the same time. Have a clone I took of a Cam that Iβll be spawning soon. Myc is fast, thicker/healthier and more rhyzomorpic.

This is the RH clone I did. Spawned it on the 23rd and itβs coming along nicely.:-)

Thanks for sharing!

First grow, wondering about surface conditions in these 7 litre boxes. Iβve taken the gaskets off the lids and left them unclamped so thereβs some air exchange.

What is the benefit of using this method over SGFC? is it solely for controlling for humidity?

You get the most out of your spawn with the least effort... much of it is due to moisture retention yes

What you guys think?

Just now put it into "fruiting" which is just a temp drop, unsnapped lid, and a quick mist. 7 days since spawn.

Temp drop not for cubensis: they're tropical... full colonization and FAE are pinning triggers, not light or temp... very aerial... is there a liner? Liners don't prevent side pins, proper surface conditions do... from what I can tell from the dark photo, it looks decent IMO
Update your sources as practices evolve rather quickly and it can be quite simplified and streamline

I just cannot for the life of me figure out why trich fucks me over so quickly every time on my shoe boxes. To this day out of 8 or 9 successful flushes I've never received a second flush before trich sets in, and I've lost 3 or 4 to trich before the first flush even came. Been told its dirty spawn, but my PC tek is to the letter and the last two shoeboxes were from grain innoced with a syringe through a healing port to minimize exposure to contams. Maybe my coir prep is off. I have been cooking it on my stove top in water and squeezing it out to reach field capacity.
I started by spawning 5 shoeboxes, two triched out before the myc made it past the casing layer. The other three were looking good and pins started but then one of the three developed white patches and just checked when I got home they had turned green. Unfortunate but at least I'll get some fruits out of it.

Try the bucket tech for coir. You dump boiling water on coir in a bucket.
Also you shouldn't be using a syringe to inoculate grain jars. Drop agar wedges in , in a still airbox with a scalpal

If trich is setting in before second flush, it's undoubtedly in your spawn... over-saturated coir (excess moisture) and insufficient FAE can play factors, but you spawn in open air; it's full of contaminants anyway... chances that contaminant spores germinate and grow to be an issue before your spawn colonizes the substrate first, are slim to none... are you venting the PC before adding the weight and starting time?
