Can’t wait to get these up and going!
Thanks again Nate!🙏🏼

Also did a T6 of my summer PCS print (one of my T5’s was starting to show mold), T4 PCS clone, T1 AA+, T1 Brazil, T1’s from my CAM clone and did a Pan Cyan Australia A2G! Gonna Have my hands full...😬

Brian, I’d suggest doing more than 3 plates with swabs. It’s almost enevitable that 2 get bacteria and one doesn’t grow anything with a swab. That is okay, but the more choices you have, the easier it will be to pick the best looking one.
That shoebox looks bang’n on my side. Maybe temperature?

Contributing...Interesting story, after the first flush the sub started to get Trichoderma on the top, but I noticed the bottom was covered in pins so I simply flipped the sub over and Bam! Flush 2 right here baby!

In the picture below you can really see the deep, emerald green of Trichoderma....

Nice! Making the best out of a bad situation😊
I had to do something similar on my Mazatapec. Think it was part my lack of knowledge and using the wrong size container. I was only using 3 jars of GS so instead of using a 66qt tub I went with a 33 qt. Same width and length of the 66 but 1/2 as tall. Anyway, my sub was colonized but I only saw one pin on top. Looked at the bottom and it was covered with pins. Tried flipping it but it broke apart on me. So I took the pieces with the most fruits and put them in a SB with another on top. Looks like crap but I pulled 150g wet off the first go around. Had green mold starting on a couple pieces, harvested another 30g and threw the sub away. Now I’m down to 3 SB’s that should be ready soon.
Don’t laugh too hard😅😅😅

The height is basically irrelevant other than FAE rate... Check this out for a deeper concept

After a while the FAE issue popped into my head so I put 1/4” holes (5 on each side, 3 on the ends) about a 1/2” above my sub all the way around the tub and covered them with MPT. Maybe I needed to add more?...
Gonna check out the link you sent.

I can never seem to get a 2nd flush out of my shoeboxes. Trich always sets in either after the dunk or right before the first harvest. I use coir or CV with and without casing. Tried both fanning daily and leaving alone with the same results.

Do you have any pictures of your spawn? Could be a water content issue too.

Unfortunately no... But I can say it I only really spawned the ones that had solid white mycelium growth with no wet spots, and there's always a fresh mushroom smell during the spawning process. The water content issue you speak of would mean my substrate is too wet right? That may be possible because I prepared my coir the same way every time in the pot without letting it get dry.
Do you think it has something to do with spawning to 1:2 spawn/substrate? As in not enough grain to feed a second flush fast enough to beat out the mold?

Nothing to do with ratios. Your spawn was dirty if it molds pre flush 2

Coir is super contam resistant...if you see green before 2nd flush it was dirty spawn.
