I finally threw a shoebox out that might have been on like flush 6 or 7. Every time I thought it was done, there were 1-2 more coming up. Hope everyone is doing well!

Ended up with 32 dry grams with this 2nd flush cluster....

Now to dunk for a couple of hours.
For your dunk do you add some weight on top to make sure the whole sub gets water? I'd been just letting it float...could explain why my later flushes were all side pins.

I've searched the forums a ton and can't really find a definitive answer to my question. I've got 3 shoeboxes going (first grow). All are brf cakes spawned to C/V. 1 has a top layer of C/V the others dont. All have fuzzy white mycelium specifically originating from the grated pieces of cake so I'm certain its mycelium. Is fuzzy mycelium normal in unmodified shoeboxes? Or what causes it? I need to know of it's something I need to fix. Whether it needs misting or more fae. I've kept the lids closed and have not touched them since spawn per the recommendations of most.
Thanks for any help all.

Pic ..?
If it's not fully colonized yet I would leave it and don't worry.
If you mean the myc is poking through the top, ime a lot of time it can be fluffy and fuzzy looking, but these words are a bit subjective

What's the temp ? I would prolly mist a very fine spray and let it fall down from a distance and see if the myc goes down.
The middle pic looks a bit suspect to me... Mine don't normally look that at least
The other two don't really look too off to me but normally my myc isn't really looking like that, that's not to say it's not alright.
Could be high temps maybe ?

I think they're alright.
If they were mine I might mist and see what it looks like then posibly flip the lid, any top layer ?
Here's a couple I have right now for reference, this is how i like mine to look

Has some similar to yours but imo yours might need a bit of air or something

Ok thanks. I gave em a gental mist when I opened to take pic. Temp is 72 degrees next to boxes. Humidity is low in room since winter temps and wood furnace. Just need to figure out if maybe mine wont be set and forget in these conditions. The one that you said looks off is the one where I put the 1/4" top layer of C/V
