Since this started as a shoebox should I put it back in the box after I soak or back into the FC?

Thanks,
BB
Back in the shoebox....is that sitting directly on the perlite?

Didn’t have enough perlite when I initially transferred it over so it’s a mix of Perl/verm but yes it is on top of it. Should it not be?

Need to use a knife and cut them off not pick them correct? What factors should I consider when picking one to clone?

I wouldn’t put my sub directly on the perlite. Any rate, shoebox is it’s own FC so I’d just leave it in that.
I always cut mine...ravaged subs contaminate faster IMO
When I clone I factor in speed, size, and potency.

Thanks it turned out way better than I thought it was going to. They were really dense, solid little mushrooms and they were packed in there tight kinda a PITA to pick. I'm definitely happy I didn't throw them out.

How's this shoebox looking? Am I seeing early trich or incoming dense pinset. This is a 1:1 LGT box. The other boxes I have going only have like one or two pins, so I didn't feel the need to take photos yet.

Sorry for the low quality pics

Looks a little dry.
Not seeing trich....I am seeing a lot of knotting and some pins.

Should I go ahead and harvest or maybe wait another day for the other caps to fully open?

those look extra ready, I like to cut mine down as the veil just begins to break. unless it's in a cluster and such and the others need to catch up, then I let it go all the way or as needed..

Up to you, but don't underestimate the power of the 2nd flush...some monsters are born there

Well,I was gonna post this last night but had some issues come up. The "other" box of shorties.

Loaded the dehydrator with them and plugged it in...nothing. Grabbed the spare dehydrator that I've used only once, plugged it in and hit the switch...NOTHING!
The thought of fan drying and desiccant chamber crossed my mind.... Made a quick run to the walmart and picked up the only dehydrator they had.

What are some indicators for a dry sub? It went in a little over field capacity (tried to squeeze out excess water to the best of my ability) so I've been probably over cautious with spraying more water on it.

Check out this 2nd flush GT cluster...just under 400g wet from my GT Shoebox.

Good decision. Soon you are going to wonder how you ever got along that thing
The dehydrator dramatically increases the quality of dried fruits.
They last longer and they even taste better, IMO.

That's a sick cluster . Just got all my shoeboxes looking better, took very little misting. I'm guessing I'll only have to water it like 2x/week. First time I watered them daily and I think it negatively impacted them. Always a learning experience in this hobby

I have been using a dehydrator, but my Nesco went out last night, and my cheap spare is a piece as well. Had a batch in the racks, and I couldn't bring mysef to fan dry them so I made a late night run for that presto.
