When do you guys start your misting on these tubs?

Yes they are a little bacterial but they'll fruit ok. They have tons of primordial forming...unfortunately many side knots due to the bacterial surface. It's been 10 days since spawn and I had the lids on the whole time. Never misted. I just put these in the larger tub... I think they might dry too much in my sgfc so I just put them in an old empty mono. They were looking dry but I feel like misting at the wrong time when knots are forming in to pins,  aborts or stuns them. I use an ultrafine pump mister which works great but I try not to over-care for my babies and let them do their thing.
Usually they look like they need a drink days before they knot which sets them up nicely but it seems they were fine until now as far a hydration.

I left the lid on the shoebox until the pins started growing then I flipped the lid over. Just dub tubbed it as the fruits made it up to the lid. Still haven't misted at all, I feel the low volume of air holds a lot of the moisture in.

Good point. I'll see what these look like in the mono. If they dry out I'll grab a couple extra shoeboxes

mushboy: I see that there are no FAE or GE holes in your shoebox. Would it be possible to fruit without placing them in a larger tote? I have noticed some do that with smaller containers like ziplock or bottles. Can the same apply here?

Misting frequency only when you notice it drying out?

You can also just crack the lid and fruit inside its own tote. super multitasking.

just like anything else, mist when needed. do whatever you want to keep your surface moist and glistening.

i prefer lots air exposure and lots of misting. most like to dial back the air to keep moisture within whatever tote.

find whatever balance you like. smaller substrates can dry out quick. so be careful.

Harvested my first shoebox today. 412grams wet. Also gathered up 50grams worth of aborts for little fun stash.

Probably could have let them grow a little longer but with time constraints I had to do it now.

Start on page one and go to around page 5. Shows examples of just what you asked. Go to page 10-20 and you will see the same question about a dozen times lol.  Peeps need to start at the beginning I tell ya! All the info everyone wants to know is in here. It just takes roughly 20minutes to read the experiences and knowledge. But definitely between page 1- 5 you will see those examples you asked about bud.

Spawned me 6 of these today. 4 Lucy(GT), 1 Matias Romero, and one Pan cambo that will probably fail. Pan mycelium looks so strange, it may or may not have been ready to spawn, but only time will tell.

Unlike cubensis mycelium, Panaeolus myceliums' strains, and sub-strains don't like to rejoin with each other, and is the sole factor regarding the whispy appearance of Panaeolus mycelium, as opposed to rhizomorphic cubensis mycelium.  Cubensis mycelium likes to rejoin with each other which is why cubensis mycelium appears ropey looking.  The fact that cubensis strains, and substrains of mycelium like to rejoin is a major key factor in cubensis being so easy to grow.

This is very typical of a lot of people these days and I'm not saying that its good or bad. Even though all the info is there, some would rather ask than read and find out for themselves. Some prefer to get the answers right from the horses mouth while others prefer to dig around themselves and find things on their own

human interactions are going downhill. like a customer giving you shit for a policy thats
written clear as day on receipts, behind counters, taped to the front doors...
when i managed a videostore do you know how many parents rented r rated movies then
come in complaining to me that nobody said anything to them.
DEMANDING refunds for movies that a family business shouldnt be renting :stonedjerk: and i go.. uh..did you read the rating?

'omg so rude wheres your manager?!?!'

'mama i am the manager. why are you wasting my time because you didnt read a rating?
would you yell at a gas station attendant if you pumped kerosene into your car?'

or when i managed an appliance store.. id ask. 'how wide is your door? this is a wider stove. will it fit?'

'yes! it will fit. i know to measure things! my older stove is bigger than this anyway'

few days later during delivery and my drivers call...
'yo boss, this jawn aint gonna fit. the bull is hot and wants to talk to you. he wants a refund and credit.'

:ilold:

im sorry. but hear it from the horses mouth? yes. i have answered the questions already.
read the tek. im not customer service or anyones tech support. not trying to be a dick but that made me  hard.
if you cant read through 46 pages? you dont deserve to grow shrooms.

go find
:dealershrooms:

on that note? i keep my shrooms growing in ambient room conditions. like 72-74f and whatevr the humidity is. i dunno.
