Hi guys,
Trying to up my game from βIβve got shroomsβ to βI have a canopyβ
This is 1qt oat spawn B+ and 1.5qt CVG with a little bit of CVG on top (1/4 in or less). Spawn looked really good and CVG was on the wetter end of field capacity to make up for dryer grains. Spawned 9/29 so 11 days ago and today I have my first pins.
Any thoughts on the surface conditions? Any suggestions would be most welcome!!

Let it do it's thing: allow evaporation to occur between mistings to stimulate pinning and avoid over-saturating the substrate... you're looking great so far!

GT...mini-fruits again. I get these insane pin sets...but still mini-fruits.

This sub will put out some fatties on 2nd flush if it's like the last one.

Any chance you're starting out over feild capacity, or over hydrating/ heavy misting? Or dry maybe? Dunk before second flush last time?

Nope. Field cap was perfect and I did not mist a single time. I actually had to sit on my hands to keep from misting

I've noticed smaller fruit to be subjectively more potent... I thought maybe water weight gain?

Idk what to make of this theory that wet substrates produce small fruits.
When I spawn to field capacity substrate I usually get small/medium size fruits. Then after I dunk the substrate for a day it's soggy wet and then it usually produces big second flush fruits.
If this theory was true then most of us would see tiny fruits after we dunk the substrate on the second flush, and not vice versa?
