Yes it does! I may have spoken too soon though I believe it may be a dud they are opening at like one inch tall

The other boxes have heavy pinsets but if they stay small like this itβs garbage

I find the little ones to pack a punch, I hope those make it worth your while. Hopefully they're dense too. Some of my shorties still weigh out decently.

I usually don't keep subs around this long.

Hopefully that will be the case! Itβs weird because the clone was not from a small fruit and these are all small I guess before I toss the culture Iβll try them out. Maybe since I have heavy pinsets in the bigger tubs it will counter the size issues.

Mushrooms can contain multiple strains in a single fruit: it's feasible you isolated a small fruiting culture

How does she look? Iβm worried the fruits are to small. The veils are breaking already. Do they break early on pe varieties?

Looks alright. dont worry too much about the veils they look like they're yet to stretch out yet. Harvest a bit later , let em stretch

I've read to let them go until they stop growing and the stipes get bumpy near the cap

Don;t always get the bumpy though.
See if they stop growing and also see if they begin to get soft (softer than normal, my PE and APE were so light and spongy compared to normal fruits)

First flush of a 2:2 oat spawn/CVG B+ shoebox. I had to dubtub this one because the big guys are too tall. Lot of big shrooms (and a few multi-stalked mutants), but not the huge canopy I want.

A couple of questions: would you say that super clean spawn, or proper moisture and surface conditions are more important for a beautiful canopy?

2:2 id's still 1:1 ratio... both clean spawn and proper surface conditions are imperative for canopies

Some of my boxes knotting, priming and pinning. The two fruiting are 2 days ahead of the rest and will be the last of my pes Hawaiian for the year.
Lower right has bacterial issues, I'll be lucky if those fruits make it over a inch tall before sporelating let alone a chance at a better 2nd flush.

Didn't have high expectations on that particular box anyways. Jar was slow to colonize and it got the funky icecream on the side with a touch of caramel 5 days later after spawn. It's looking like the rest will make up for it. Nice n knotty

Do you guys usually get side/bottom pins during the 2nd,3rd, etc flushes? Or can they be completely avoided through proper misting? I had zero side pins during the first flush, but now I have nothing but side/bottom pins on the third flush.
