So my little experiment with artificial lighting vs ambiant natural lighting is quiet interesting.
Here’s the AA+ boxes I have under artificial 12/12 lighting spawned on 8/25

And the KS boxes that are getting the same amount of natural lighting spawned on 8/27

The AA+ seem to have dried out more because of the lighting being so hot. The Ks are taking a bit longer, but are staying more moist. It seems that either way you do it mushrooms will grow. These pics were taken yesterday.
The AA+ were top layered at spawn, and the KS weren’t. Noticed this morning that the KS pins have grown more, but a little slower than artificial lighting. They may be more hardy in the end.

Next time you do a run please take like 2 of the same exact setups into the artificial light and out of it.. It is interesting results, but having 2 different strains, grown differently, it could be genetics or anything. Would be curious to see how 2 exact ones do though with the differing conditions.

I think I found some sporeless Nepal chitwans, they look sporeless anyway. Maybe not completely because you can see some spores on the edges. Then I have one really dark blue/black one that’s weird

I cloned two of the sporeless ones

I had so many different variations it was crazy. Some small some big but generally smaller caps like you say. First flush had some heavy spore droppers and second flush barely any. Here’s some other pictures of different tubs

Yeah I’m interested too. I have some jars that need to be g2g’d soon and will do a side by side comparison with the same genetics next time.
KS is the none mutated regular cube variety. Ksss is the mutant kind.

Not always. There's no shortage of prints labeled KSSS, that aren't the mutants. And these are from reputable people to.
There's a bit of debate about whether all ksss are supposed to be mutants, or if mutants are a separate thing within ksss.

Did it come from me? The sample I got came from someone I consider very reputable. I drop the 4th "s" because strain is a ridiculous part of the name, and just call them KSS. They grew out like normal cubes, but had a nice high average potency. Bout to make a syringe of it for next weeks runs.
I know there's a handful of saucer mutant prints floating around. If we poke a bit we'll find them, just be specific you mean the mutants. I haven't gotten back around to askin for them.

No worries, I kinda lose track of who I sent what. Just thought I might be able to give you some background on it. I guess it's gonna come down to getting what you get.
