What happened with the AA+? did you get a dirty print or somethin? I can replace it.
No not dirty I don’t think. Just super tomentose so I’m trying to differentiate whether it’s mycelium or not everyone seems to say they think it’s just super tomentose mycellium. Here’s some shots of the latest transfer it’s looking better now. As you can see one looks like mold to me just super tomentose. The other one is looking good

Man I just realized I left the dehydrator off for like two hours after I put all of the harvested shrooms in there there all blue and bruised now you guys think they’re still good? Or major potency loss from that?

I agree, I think it's just tomentose. Throw some wedges in jars and find out. Those mushies sittin for 2 hours are probably fine to.

You could also print the mature ones and leave the stems a day or 2 until those other ones are ready. Looks like quite a few caps to print though.

Yeah I already have 10 printing in my SAB man too many tubs at once! Also if you want a print it’s yours! Still working on that AA+ you gave me. On its fifth transfer now I think. These are Nepal Chitwan by the way

Legend21 said: Anyone have any good methods to harvest mature mushrooms while leaving the rest unharmed?

This tube about half/half
If i have a tub thats got a dense pinset like that and only some of them are mature, I personally float the substrate up by filling the tub with water and just harvest the ones that are ready with a knife. Then i just empty the water out and leave the rest of the mushrooms that need to finish growing. The rest is usually ready within a day or two, and its usually hydrated enough for a second flush since i floated the sub. It will be easy to harvest the rest since there will not be so many mushrooms in the tub anymore.
EDIT: To empty the water out of the shoebox, i like to completely remove the substrate from the tub with my hands, and i place it ontop of another upside down tub while i empty the water out. Ive tried to empty the water out with the sub still in there, and the surface ended up getting soaked.
I’ll try this now
If you start filling it up with water and notice the substrate is stuck to the bottom of the tub, grab onto a couple fruits on either side of the substrate and lightly pull the substrate up. It'll come loose and float up.

These shoeboxes seem to be doing much better than the first. Made sure FC (field capacity)was wet but not too wet, which I’ve noticed it’s helped with the substrate pulling away from sides. It’s creating beads of water naturally on substrate. Can’t wait to see these beauties. I did not leave a top layer of soil over colonized rye or a casing layer. Started FC (fruiting conditions) immediately since spawning substrate on 8-26 around midnight

Legend. Change up your agar recipe next time. It may help. I've heard that less nutes will result in a more rizo plate.

This is typical, but I can't get rhizo with mine even 1/2 strength- may just be an AA thing

Anyone have the times down for a perpetual cycle?
Have limited space in my new spot and want to toss either outside or in a secondary spot after the first flush and have one ready to go
Could figure it out myself but I'm sure people here have run perpetual cycles

Yea i have noticed that even my AA+ monoculture is fairly fluffy on agar.

Ahhh... that makes a little more sense, still sounds like a weak culture... grain inoculated even with spores shouldn't take that long... cakes perhaps... I drop full 60mm dishes of soft agar that liquifies on the shake... typically 100% in 4-7 days

Whoa, I'm going to have to try that technique. I went slow intentionally this time, slow and clean. Those same colonies when G2G took about 1 week to colonize their subsequent jars.
