Ok guys, sorry for all the newby questions but I had read in several threads not to case. To just mix sub and spawn and let it do its thing. Which I have done. I didn't even put any unspawned sub on top of the mixed stuff, as I have seen many pics on here of some very successful grows in which this technique was used. Am I ok with this? Or should I put a small verm layer on these?

Its really up to you...top layer with some coir/verm or just leave it as is....I personally would just leave it as is.

Anyone have any good methods to harvest mature mushrooms while leaving the rest unharmed?

This tube about half/half

If you're good at it you can cut out the ready ones or gently twist and pull.

If i have a tub thats got a dense pinset like that and only some of them are mature, I personally float the substrate up by filling the tub with water and just harvest the ones that are ready with a knife. Then i just empty the water out and leave the rest of the mushrooms that need to finish growing. The rest is usually ready within a day or two, and its usually hydrated enough for a second flush since i floated the sub. It will be easy to harvest the rest since there will not be so many mushrooms in the tub anymore.
EDIT: To empty the water out of the shoebox, i like to completely remove the substrate from the tub with my hands, and i place it ontop of another upside down tub while i empty the water out. Ive tried to empty the water out with the sub still in there, and the surface ended up getting soaked.

I like to get in with a little palm sized pocket knife. easier to maneuver between clusters and side walls.
You could also print the mature ones and leave the stems a day or 2 until those other ones are ready. Looks like quite a few caps to print though.

Yeah I already have 10 printing in my SAB man too many tubs at once! Also if you want a print it’s yours! Still working on that AA+ you gave me. On its fifth transfer now I think. These are Nepal Chitwan by the way

Those are pretty. And they didn't drop that black spore dust yet like KSSS likes to do.

Did we ever come to a conclusion about KSSS? Is KS the mutie one and KSSS is the more normal looking one?

I wish I knew as well. I always thought that these KSSS I did in early 2000s from youknowwhere.com was the original KSSS.
Now seeing the muties, and other variations I wonder which one I actually had. Guess I need to get on it and get some prints of both KS ans KSSS and go from there.

I get both phenos. It's labelled ksss. This is my best harvest so far as I've been struggling with this variety.

I don't think there was a solid answer last time this topic came up. It was really mixed.
Right now PsiloPsychin is who gave me my KSSS and they aren't the mutants, but he's sure these are different from KS and make better quality fruits. I tend to agree off the few runs I did with them. They're also better than the other KS sample I had. Very much like Nate's & Noob's pics in Pheno. For these reasons I've kept them as KSS.
Someone reached out to Ryche, but idk what the result of that was.
