This has nothing to do with Transperma that he's talking about. This link is about what actually happened as far as I can tell.

GWM made with ground Oats instead of BRF. Not super thrilled with results, but these got tall enough to push on the dub tub so that's cool.

I’m experimenting with artificial lighting and natural ambiant lighting. Got four more boxes I got to spawn today of PE6. Dwindling down on the boxes so I’ll be doing some g2g transfers soon. I’ve only been keeping them around for two flushes lately.

Thanks, everyone! I believe they're getting plenty of good indirect natural light, and I have been peaking at them daily, so I would think that's enough fae... but I'm a novice, so I really couldn't say. Harvesting the rest of flush 1 today. Grand total: 201g (wet).

Spawned 1qt of oats three days ago. Eyeballed the ratios for the CVG, hoping it is ok. Any feedback so far?

Did you case? About what ratio were you going for? Looks a little behind for 3 days, is it MS?

I put 1/2 or so inch of the CVG over the spawn/CVG mix. Was trying for an 80/20 coir/verm mix.
So here’s the question: is it still MS if my process was MS>Pf cake pin>agar>agar>grain? (I’ve been wondering that for a while!)

No, you cloned the pin. This is now a clone culture.
I think your tub looks good, the top layer won't colonize over the same way no top layer will.

That’s what I assumed but wasn’t 100% sure. Thanks for the clarification, LtLurker! I’ll post pics again as things progress

And I believe a clone is a monoculture, correct?

TC's talking about monoculture https://www.shroomery.org/forums/dosearch.php?where=body&tosearch=both&how=all&words=monoculture&limit=25&sort=d&way=d&expert=1&page=0

A monoculture is a culture acting as one. Could be one strain or a few.
Once you put spores to a dish it's far easier to get a monoculture than an isolate. Perhaps strains once fused don't come apart and the only way to get an isolated is by mating single spores.
Either way doesn't matter too much the terms have mistakenly been used interchangeably anyway and no harm done
The "gold standard" is the test with isolates everyone wants to see. But in my time plus the time shroomery has been around I've seen exactly 0 controlled studies with isolates done so don't hold your breath for any evidence
