Edit: how was the tea? I love my tea with freshies. Looks like around 20 to 30 grams. I always add a bit of lemon juice and honey to the sauce pan as they're simmering.
Thats a awesome estimate that was 33g fresh. I use the water with chicken gravy, my favorite blend
The trip was shorter than my Huautla, like 3h30. I may try some lemon tek with those A+, but the trip was good.

Lemon tek will make the trip even shorter, but more intense with a faster/smoother come up

I would just start doing 1 qt tubs then
Yeah I will stick to one. I had 21 quarts of spawn and didn’t feel like doing 21 tubs Quote:

They all got the same batch of coco but I guess more substrate means a higher water content I figure that would give it a better pin set but I guess not. Maybe the second flush will out perform it. They take longer to pin also.

I've seen shoeboxes do well with as few as 3 cakes (if your spawning them to bulk) so that's 8... I'd personally do 6 with 4 each... not sure how many qts are in a 3 lb bag (I'd imagine 3or4), but 1-2 qts per shoebox... I'd split each bag and do 4 more... so 10-12

I'd say between 10-20 depending how much spawn u use for each. 3lb bag of grain can be 3 shoeboxes. And I'd say 4 cakes per shoe box would be good. U can do less of course, but I wouldn't go messing around with low spawn ratios till u get some experience and if your using manure. 1:1 will be perfect when using coir.

Lots of side and bottom pins but only a couple on top. Ive had the lid flipped for a few days and been misting. Anything i could be doing wrong or should i have let the top colonize longer? I made a small casing layer with extra coir when i spawned.

May not have come through the casing yet... I don't case personally, and I fruit from spawn, but Only mist when needed, and with a casing (looks thick) I wouldn't mist at all until after first flush harvest

Thanks. I thought it was actually a bit dry as i didnt check for field capacity (its my first go). Got worried when i started seeing all the side pins so i put it into fruiting. Ill wait and see how it goes. Cheers

I (and an increasing number of others) have seen better and faster colonization and better and faster flushes introducing fruiting conditions at spawn...
