Going to try to get this dried PE fruit to take on agar. If not this round maybe try and prepare some agar on the wet side to help it along next try. Sorry for the off topic but I will fruit it in a shoebox if I can get that far

It's a shoebox, but it's only got one quart spawn & one quart sub.

I have PE colonizing in shoeboxes atm. I'm not sure if a mold or trich has taken over in a few boxes. As always any advice would be appreciated.

Looks fluffy like it needs air, or may be slightly bacterial... I don't think it's trich

I would take a paper towel and soak up all the pools of water from the substrate. But other than that it's just the waiting game from here on, doesn't matter what could potentially
be 'wrong' with the substrate, there's nothing to do about it from here on, just hope for the best!

Has any real cultivator even revived myc from dry tissue?
I've only seen horribly failed attempts.

Spawning these to shoe-boxes if they fully recover from the shake. I didn't dry my grains enough i think. Live and learn, it's my first grow.

it seems to be fine as far as I can tell I shouldn't take the lid off right? Also would it be a bad idea to do the double box thing where I put another shoebox on top instead of the lid or can you fruit with the lid still on there from looking through the thread it looks like people do both methods not sure which one to do though.

I'm leaving the lid on mine until the fruits get that tall. If the caps haven't opened yet, I will use another box or a plastic bag to give them some additional room to grow.

I think this sub is going to get annihilated the way it's pinning.

You spawned in open air and so it's already full of contaminants... we generate spawn in sterile conditions so that we have a healthy living culture present that has a chance to colonize the substrate before contaminant spores have a chance to germinate and grow to be an issue... Opening it will not cause problems, and it's recently been found that fruiting conditions from spawn produces faster colonization, and better harvests... if your spawn was clean, it's too late to contaminate, if it was dirty, no amount of stress or caution is going to save it

Just a PE6 clone... not impressed with this one, but the "Big Boy" culture is the shiznit bam bizzle... these will have to be pretty STOUT to triumph the other's speed to fruit... Potency test for "Big Boy" received an A; ending up a little better than average performance when compared to the MS fruit (which are great to start with)
