Alright sweet maybe ill just leave them then. So far for flush one and two ive misted probably no more than 5 times total, and havent bottom watered or anything.
For a 2:2 tub, do you think 1/4 cup bottom watering is enough to prepare for the next flush, or should i do more like a 1/2 cup or something?

except I usually leave over night... to each his own, and your local climate (specifically humidity) should be taken into consideration

If you're tying to avoid them (supposed to be potent af,so not sure why, maybe weight? ) I've read that casing at fruiting introduction can help limit their production... I'd strive for them lol

Yeah I meant to order some but the timing was off by time I realized I needed it. I donโt trust myself enough to make a 50/50+ casing yet

I read that coir doesnโt work as a casing since itโs a nutritious layer Iโm not positive though

Coir is referred to by some as "psuedo" casing because its not a real casing layer - because of the lack of nutrition in coir.

coir works awesome when you do open air grows. sprinkle kinda wet coir over colonized subs and keep it damp.
thats how i did this one.

Usually at spawn I do a 1/4 inch layer of extra coir on top as a little casing layer but I want to try peat/germ/gypsum

Nah.. there's not really nutrition in coir for the myc.

I was just thinking about going back to open air and doing it this way. So far I've gotten better results open air even though its more work, but adding moist coir would help with that.
I was considering fruiting this one open air, just like you describe using the coir to keep it moist
