Is this a clone culture? I saw a pic in the other shoebox thread where that tub was labeled 6/23. I spawned 6 tubs that day and don't have a pin on any of them yet.
Oh really? Yeah that's mine from 6/23, the label is just on the other side of the box. Hmmm, I wonder why you don't have any pins. Are there knots? I almost always get pins within 12 days but your mileage may vary. I'd give it a Lil more time

This Stro box came in a little better than the last few. Still a lot of aborts but at least the larger fruits mostly matured. This box I kept the lid snapped on the entire time except for when I had the lid off to inspect, whereas the others I had loose lids most of the time after full colonization. So maybe I was overdoing the FAE a bit too much or perhaps its all just MS luck.
Have 2 mini-monos starting to pin and 1 full sized mono colonizing, so looking forward to see how they perform compared to the shoeboxes.

Had a jar of spawn that was fully colonised months ago (inoculated in fucking FEBRUARY)

Lets see how it works out. I also wanted to try the "cased grains" approach:

This new shoebox looks off to me anyone else see something wrong with it? It’s hard to catch in pictures but it has a yellow hue to most of it. It was spawned five days ago 1/1 ratios. 1 quart of wbs to one quart of coir.

I already had some yellowing like that in some area of my shoeboxes where it was dry, and for me yours look dry. I dont think its off, but try to get some better surface conditions

Cool I misted the top after taking those pictures assuming it was probably a little dry. Usually the myc doesn’t completely take over like that for me. With time and practice I’ll nail it. Every box has been different so far. This is now my sixth one

That's exactly what I'm seeing in two of my tubs. It's inside of the little balls of myc popping up off the surface, especially the ones trying to climb up the wall. I think the heat has been fucking me over. I wasn't even at 100% colonization and I was already having to mist daily.

Yeah its been hot as fuck here too. Could it be bruising maybe...?
Would the tub have colonized the way it did? Would it have pushed out mushrooms if there was a green contam?
Guess ill have to wait and see..

Yeah I have been having some drying out problems on my surfaces which caught me totally off guard. One of my mini-monos is now covered in yellowed dried up myc.... Weird because the sub has plenty of moisture left in it, its just the surface... seems to probably be the same problem that affected a lot of my shoeboxes. Maybe the high heat is making the surface dry up faster

It doesn't look like trich to me... trich starts as a white fuzz and then turns green, the green has a very distinct look to it all granular and it smells bad. What you have looks more like drying/bruising, but kinda weird since you seem to have plenty of moisture... still that is what it looks like to me when I see drying on the surface and sometimes bruising can be a bit greenish

Some of my last shoeboxes with super rhizo/aerial growth shards sticking up into the air showed similar looking bruising that had a greenish tint to it. The heat seems to definitely be stressing my myc lately
