Yea im gonna work on tweaking my recipes and stuff so i can just snap the lid on, forget about the tub, and have a nice harvest a couple weeks later. So then that way i dont really need to get involved all too much, and wont fuck thing up.

Grows won't always go perfect, and you can't always tweak a tub to perform the way you want it to

Yea i am now learning that me and failure are going to have to become very close friends lmao. Hopefully these tubs will just be more of a pain in the ass to harvest though, and wont suffer too much in regards to their yields.

It could be worse. You could have jars and tubs full of trich

Yea that is very true. But on the other hand that almost makes me feel worse lol I was able to pull off completely clean spawn with no trich or anything, but had to fuck it up during this last stage Fuck it tho, got no choice but to take it as a learning experience.

I’d rather have clean spawn down then anything else. It will work out fine just a bump in the road. Who knows maybe your second flush will be killer!

This is the last flush (6) from my first mono. Everything was going great untill I tried to start forcing pinning by trying different methods. It blued and yellowed from over drying and so fourth. After the 3rd flush when the sub cracked on the dunk. I decided to either throw it out or, "how can I fuck this up even more, I'll neglect it". I just put it back into fruiting with the crack through the middle, just put the lid on and left it. No misting, just set and forget. It actually performed better but with side pins. Then I decided, "well how can I fuck it up even more", for the 5th and not have to worry to much about side pins. So I made a origami sub.
The 6th and last flush.

I have sprayed this 2 times a week with the lid on the 5th and 6th waiting for it to tam out like a dirty green whore.
Got about 3 nice 5-7g dry boomers out of the 4th 5th and probably will get 8g total from this last one. I tested the repeated theme, set and forget as well as, all that matters is clean spawn. I was a bad daddy leaving my 1st born do it's thing like eating marbles and sticking its finger in the light socket while i worked on new spawns and cultures.
Mushrooms grow them selves and honestly don't need us, just our tubs and a good clean knock up. Pretty much just watch for contams and drying.
I got allot of metabolite action on this last one along with a fading mushroom smell and now new white mycelium is starting to form which isn't good. After I pick these in the morning shes getting tossed.
I do the same now, except break the sub up on my shoe boxes and they are putting out more than my first mono that I helicopter parented the 1st two flushes.
When the time tested people tell you to not over think it, they mean it. If you want to fuck up your sub, helicopter parent it.

That’s what I do with mine. Just use a sharp knife and peel the sub off like peeling a apple. Works pretty good and you don’t loose much mush.

Dumb on my part but I have solid colored lids for my shoeboxes so I actually can't see top down. I can see good progress from the clear sides. Is it OK to crack the lids to check progress from the top or should I just leave them alone? I don't want to mess with it but at one point I'll need to check.
Thank ya!

You can crack to check on them just don’t do it constantly. If you just recently spawned though I’d just leave them be for a few days before I start checking out what’s going on.

Yeah just look through the sides. I think most of us have solid lids.
Imo it only helps to keep the co2 high and not give any air exchange before you're ready to pop the lid, but naw it's not really going to make or break the grow
You can see fine through the sides though imo

This is slightly generic, but how many flushes do you allow before throwing it out/in the garden?
I generally do 4 then throw to avoid contamination.

Thanks! I actually haven't cracked the lids once and they're on day 6. I can mainly see through the sides, condensation makes it a bit hard to see the top layer through the side.

The last flush on this beat up PE sub.Poor thing was spawned way back on 5/1.This is the last of my PE grow.(for now ) Gonna lay it to rest after this harvest.

I don't have anything "fresh" spawned as of right now.Just a few 2nd flush boxes in waiting. I've really got to get my APE spawned.(they're taking forever to colonize)
