I just took my lid off of one of my shoeboxes for the first time, and some drops of condensation on the lid accidentally dropped onto the substrate. There are now a few spots where there are some very small puddles of water.
Is this alright you think? Should i try drying it up a little, or is it not even worth messing with?
Also, any opinions on these surface conditions?

Hey guys, been following this thread for a long time. Gave me the inspiration to convert my first grow into a shoebox with some brf cakes I had colonizing. I made 2 shoeboxes each with 3 cakes grated to 2.5 lbs of some pre-pasteurized/hydrated Hpoo with straw, coir & gypsum that I brought online with a pseudo casing at spawn. I am wondering for some input as to if I should continue to keep the lids on or flip them. They have been getting lighting with 12/12 cycle since spawning. Once I get a pinset I'll dub tub them. Just wanted to know how it looks to the trained eye, as to how its coming along so far.
Spawned everything to bulk on 6/22 and those pics of the colonized substrate are from 6/27

So, do you guys go right to fruiting conditions once you've spawned to the shoeboxes or do you let them colonize in the dark again for a few days (or however long it takes to hit 80%), then introduce light and fae? It is the only real question I have left after all this reading the last few weeks.
I'm new and getting close to birthing these pf tek cakes.
Edit: bod's tek was bumped and after rereading it, the answers are there. I'm just over thinking it. Clearly I'm having new guy problems.

I let mine sit with the lid clasped until I get decent sized pins, then take the top off and fruit in a mono with nothing covering the holes

Do you ever take the lid off to check on it before there are pins? I took the lid off for the first time today for less than a minute, just to give it a little check. Was opening it a mistake you think?
Also, a couple drops of condensation from the lid accidentaly dropped onto the substrate when i opened it. There are now a couple spots with very small puddles of water, but other than that the surface is still perfect. Should i be worried at all you think, or is it no big deal?
This is the sub before the few drops of water fell:

No I do that daily after about 7 days. In my conditions I need a light mist once or twice a day (from far) to get droplets glistening on the myc.
I have also opening daily starting like 3 days after spawn with no adverse effects
Looks glistening to me!

Alright awesome im glad i didnt mess anything up.
Do you think the few drops of moisture that fell onto the sub are gonna cause a problem? They created very small puddles of water in a couple spots (happened after i took the pic). If possible id like to just leave it be with its lid snapped on instead of drying the water with paper towel or something. Im trying to mess with my subs as little as i can.
EDIT: I just checked on the shoebox again, and its kind of difficult to see, but it appears that the puddle has disappeared and the spots just seem slightly matted down now. Do you think im alright?

Just full-boil water into a 5 gal bucket with lid on tight (fully pressed on)
Let it sit until room temp, stirred/broken up a couple times in between
Standard bucket tek

For the little puddle of water, if you want, you can take a scott towel and absorb the excess, you dont even need to touch the sub but if you do, thats really no big deal.
The surface condition look good, maybe a touch too much beads of water, if it was my tub ill give them some FAE, its time to flip the lids dude

Alright sweet. It seems like the puddles disappeared already, and now the mycelium is just matted down a little in those spots. Hopefully itll fluff back up. But ill definitely consider flipping the lids. Would i need to start misting if i do?
Also all of my shoeboxes look like the one in that video, however some of them have corners and/or sides without beads of water. I was trying to not mist at all during the first flush, but do you think i should try to mist these corners/sides.
Heres and example of a dry corner in one of them:

AA+ ms agar>agar>LI 2 quarts spawn to 2 quarts coirverm 610 grams wet, a good portion of the sub aborted, would have been nice to see what they would have added
happy to hit that 1 quart to 1 quart of shrooms ratio
want to get a clone from one of my upcoming shoeboxes
have people hit 1:2 yield ratios from shoeboxes?
4 ounces on a shoebox would look insane
