No. People do it all day everyday
Awkward...to clarify, I don't and it's fine

buried_totems said: Hey everyone, I've got 4 colonized 1/2 pint jars. Thinking of going shoebox; it turns out I was following a bulk method incorrectly and didn't have nearly enough jars.
Could I do 2 jars in a very small shoebox, and 2 in another? How big a box would you recommend for a small project like that?
What's the best spawn to substrate ratio? 1:2? 1:4? I've heard different opinions and I have no idea who to believe. If it helps, I'm going coir/verm a la damion5050's tek.
And what about FAE? Holes, or just loose lid?
With brf cakes I do a ratio of 1:2.You could get away with doing 2 shoeboxes with shallow subs.Or,find a container to fit your needs.I use these 2.5qt boxes to spawn 1 cake to.They work great for me.
PE
AA (modded with holes)
Menace starting to pin in another. I like to use these when I have a stray cake or two not colonizing with the pack. It's the same basic tek as with a shoebox.(spawn, lid on til pins, flip lid for FAE) I have tried both with and without holes.Holes are not needed. Shoeboxes never get holes. The lid is all the FAE they need.

I'm amazed at how different all of these cubensis strains look from each other. I'd never recognize them if someone didn't tell me what I was looking at

I remembered to dub this shoebox of "menace" in time. Gave it a bottom water(about 1/4 cup) when I dubbed it about 24hrs ago. Sub drank it all and the fruits exploded upward. I'll give them a few more hours til I harvest. ...yesterday
About 24hrs later...

Nope, not the white ones. I don't know almost anything active. Brand new here.
