Spawned these shoe boxes about 7 days ago. They look a bit off, any way I could get a second opinion?

First two look good to me, second look like maybe over misting or something causing some matting, may be beneficial to give a bit more fae and hold off on misting but for some reason I suspect you haven't even been misting

You are correct! I have not been misting, this is the first time, I have opened the boxes. I figured it was time to flip the lids for more FAE. I used Damion 50/50 Coir tek for the sub.

Idk what's causing that but I've been seeing it a lot recently actually but I've never experienced it myself so definitrlt limited personal experience and I've only seen so much of what others have recommended. I would say try increasing FAE and hopefully it helps

From what I learned over the last few months here on the forum, and ultimately from doing a succesfull G2G transfer spawned to WBS Coir Shoeboxes made it to where I will probably never need to grow again, forever!
Amazing results! I used B+ for those big fruits.
Just like BOD indicated, you don't need to add to the Coir, it is fine all by itself, except adding a little verm to dial the field capacity in.
I tried adding horse shit, and those boxes didn't do as well.

Some of the weird things that I either noticed or did;
one is, I turn my blocks on their sides, upside down, or wherever I see growth, I turn the block accordingly.

Also, If you take black plastic, and cut it into a  "T" using a shoebox as a guide, you can easily make liners, that I think work really well with the shoeboxes.

Ony some of mine had the liners, maybe 5 or 6 boxes, as an experiment.

Also, when I wet my cakes, I just fill the box up with water, leave it for a minute or so, and then drain it out.

I tend, like most, to over whater, but I leave these on a porch in a hot climate, so, they dry out quickly as well.

Another thing, is if you have a SFG from previous experiments, it works well, to put your coir blocks in there as if they were PF Cakes, I sometimes did up to 4 at once on the same SFG

Most of the really big ones weighed as much as 21 Gms.

What's the consensus on casing?

I've picked up that casing in general gets better results, but I'm curious as to when to case. I've spawned my sub four days ago and I'm seeing quite promising rhizo growth so far.

I'm thinking of using coir and been as the casing layer.

Coir and been?

Idk if been is recommended for casing or not.

I always use a top layer st spawn but I think you're right that casing is consensus better than nothing, no doubt.

I personally would never fruit with nothing.

I think generally they case around full colonization

Woke up to find these guys chilling!!!

So I printed my earliest and largest fruits for 5 grows. Print>grains>cvg.

Now these only seem to produce mush-zilla sized fruits.

Should I continue printing large fruits or try cloning one?

Clone. Prints you for the most part are starting over. Only a clone ensures some phenos carry over.

My gf kicked one of my shoeboxes last night on accident and the moisture from the lid landed all on the surface of my mycelium. I dabbed it with a paper towel this morning, but the microbeads of moisture is gone.

The boxes are knotting up real good, but I’m nervous that leaving that moisture on the surface overnight may have ruined it. What do you guys think? Will it be okay?

If its pooled up enough to warrant dabbing, I'd just leave the lid off for as long as it takes to evap off... but that's just meee, man

Shot I already dabbed it. Should I still leave the lid off for a bit?
