Just guid them along... no extra water or light or opening the lid and looking at it hopefully will make it grow any better or faster. Shrooms are like an edgy teenager, give them the basics of food, water and shelter to grow and they are fine. Too much love results in cutting and self loathing and potentially death. On the same note lack of love I guess also causes incompetent thinking and possible suicide? Who knows the drugs have taken trip. They look pretty good. Just be excited and ready for that first flush! Don't worry, it will come.

Sometimes micromanaging can be counterproductive and giving them space and time to do their thing can work well
Thanks. Other than turning on and off the light and keeping my house at 70, i'm not really doing anything. First time i even opened the lid was to take those pics and i don't really have any idea if that's how it's supposed to look. All that said, that it; just wait and one day in the relative soon some shrooms will hopefully start to fruit up?
Yep just leave the lids on and let them colonize. The two on the left I personally would let colonize a bit further, but other people fruit their own way. I would wait a bit longer before taking off the snapped lid and increasing FAE by either flipping the lid or dubbing it once the top layer or casing is colonized further. I personally usually wait until its fully colonized, sometimes I dont even take the snapped lid off until the pins start to emerge. That is actually probably my preferred method, but sometimes i feel like the tub isn't going to fruit well that way so I jump in and do something. I read RR said its not good to let the top layer fully colonize, but it seems to work well for me
The one on the right looks colonized to me. I have no experience without using a top layer which I always apply at the time of spawning, so I really don't know how to fruit a tub that hasn't been given a top layer or casing.
I suppose you could increase FAE for that tub now? Someone wana help me out with the uncased tub? Assuming noone else answers that part, I would personally probably take the lid off, mist, and flip the lid, or dub it, to increase FAE.
They look good to me though bro, definitely looking how they should imo.

Thank you, all of the guidance is appreciated. Anything else to say about misting after the initial one when flipping? and on the ones that i'm letting cook a little longer, no misting?

You generally want small beads of water on the surface, but depending on your environment it may not do that. I just go by the color of the coir on the surface. If it's dark, there's enough water.

Thanks asura
Yeah I wouldn't mist the ones colonizing.
I would wait and only mist if and when needed.
Just leave the lids on for a bit until you're ready to introduce FAE. Thats when you'll want to mist if necessary

Thanks bud, I have a bunch of crystals and stones! Iโm debating on what ones to add to my shoebox collection now

Just spawned three Mazatapec shoeboxes today! Tossed out my three spent Treasure Coast boxes a few days ago, and still have two Pink Buffalo boxes on their second flush.

The rocks are for good energy. I believe that everything carries itโs own energy so I put them on top or around my boxes to give more magic to the mushrooms. I also like to play singing bowls for my funguys and sage them.

My blocks eventually get a white fuzz on them after the second or third flush sometimes turns green and if it is in a small area, I cut it off. If they get obviously funky then I throw them out. One of my recent cakes started to get white but there were a couple of big fruits, so I let them go eventually harvested them. Going to post a few pics to see if the white stuff is trich or mycelium or what. Let me know, thanks
