So should I do bottom water and then apply casing?
If yes for both of this, so can I apply casing with only verm? If no for only verm, what can I use for casing?

edit : Guys i am really sorry for this failure, will it fruit at least enough for two trip? What do you think?

you can case with straight verm. ive used it and it gets the job done. sprinkle it on, spread it around. 1/4inch at MOST!!

wet the verm layer with some misting:thumbup: if you dont helicopter parent that substrate,
it should push out something. id be depressed as f if you couldnt get a decent dry 1/4oz or more.

Spawned four cakes of Celtic Rust for each shoebox.

Is it alright for a bit of coir to be on the sides of the shoebox? Got most of it off...

Also found those cool all clear shoeboxes at Home Depot. $1 more and it’s worth it!

You’ll be alright with some on the sides, I always take a damp paper towel and wipe across the top lip with my finger after spawning a tub, doesn’t have to be perfect

Thanks for the plug though! Gonna look for those, I’m at HD at least once or twice a week mostly for work

Awesome! Thanks for the reassurance Germs.

Yeah they are nearly $2 but it’s worth it for more light to get in. They are super clear compared to most other shoeboxes I’ve seen, and they don’t have the grooves on the bottom.
Just smooth

also, pure verm is Muda's favorite casing

I have run bottles cased with verm, cased with coir and uncased. Every time I did uncased bottles, I regretted it as the grow progressed. Coir worked but colonised a bit more quickly than I like. Verm is my favorite.

Still wondering if you waited too long to take the lid off maybe ...?

lid was open until the before breaking, I think that's another reason of matte surface

Thank you all folks, I'll apply verm casing today and keep you updated for experiment sake
