I used coir only with bods bucket tek. i tested field capacity and when i squeezed there was a small stream of water coming out which stopped after several seconds.

the tek itself says 1:1 ratio. so i dont know where the confusion is. i guess some people dont understand ratios.

4 times on a thread with over 200 pages. I see it on the first page now but I misread it today when glancing over it, prob because I'm running on a few hours of sleep. Doesn't hurt to confirm a few things here and there, especially with a thread as long as this one.

P.S. that dark line across the back is a shadow from my coat rack. Pretty happy with how this is looking.

What would you guys suggest for(when the time comes) harvesting side and bottom mushrooms? I see most people take the whole substrate out. Would this be the best method? When you take it out do you wait for the sub to dry and take it out? Or is it fine while it's still a little wet to take it out? Haven't really seen much of this process yet.

I just take the whole sub out and if you have a liner pull it back to get all the shrooms off. Then put it back in and try to get the liner back in place. If it's dry bottom water for your next flush.

Since most of us can't produce uv light like the sun and have the time to leach unwanted nutrients out of it, people use a process of boiling the shit in a pillow case and drying it out. I'm not giving you a TEK, I just know of the process.
That shoebox with the pure shit was nothing but gross after a while, finally through it out.

Yeah, it got really close but the 2" spot. It got green. I was really tempted to cut 2 squats and just keep healthy. Though I'm a little head bonked so it's tossed. If the molded spot had Myc it would have done good. I'm gunna do it again but top with coir.

I just pictured 6 of those fruits equaling the total. Six 10 dry gm life changing fruits.
Edit: Saw the full harvest.Nice!

Ready for another shoebox or two but the coir I have has been sitting in the bucket for 3-4 days. I read somewhere, maybe this thread, that some people recommended adding more boiling water if it's been sitting for a week. Should I be okay using this coir or should I add more boiling water?
