Normally yes,but I can't say for sure I did.Made a bunch of tubs that go around and maybe this was made from the bottom of the bucket. Some of the other boxes look fine.

When I got to the bottom of the bucket I added some verm to the mix to absorb some of the water. My boxes may be a bit to wet as well, going to pop them open in the morning to let some evaporate.

Let’s hope that’s not the case. It’s looking good for the most part, with no signs of bacteria or mold.

It's so funny when you first get some sheoboxes and your all super excited about some plastic tubs. I think my wife thought I went crazy when we were at target and I was freaking out that they had the exact same kinda boxes mush used it the original post. Once she suggested taking off the sticker with the yellow shoes on it, that's like saying why don't you wipe off that silly signature off your baseball card!! We are all connected by those ugly yellow shoes!!

Is it still alright to dunk my shoebox even if it has a ton of knots on top?

For a second flush ? Yeah for sure. Might fuck up surface conditions though by making the sides and bottom.good places for pin formation but idk how you can get around it while also rehydrating the sub

Yea to rehydrate for a second flush. I saw this comment from munchauzen so I thought it was necessary: Quote:
Munchauzen said: Misting is for keeping the surface conditions perfect in a shoebox. Without misting, you will be hard pressed to keep them correct without the aid of a greenhouse. Even in a monotub, they still need misting. Misting, however, will not replenish the extensive amount of water lost from the fruits that have grown. After harvesting, you need to dunk your substrate to force the mycelium cells to hydrate again. This is accomplished by weighing down your substrate and covering it with as much water as possible, preferably in a large sink.
So submersing the knots under water for a couple hours should be alright? And if theirs any small pins should i leave those for the dunk also or pick them off?

I personally would bottom water if your second flush pins are already popping. If they aren’t aborts (darker looking) then I wouldn’t submerge that sub but that’s just

1- Pasty cuts holes in his tubs while mushboy leaves his unmodded 2- Pasty uses 20L tubs (basically 21qt) while mushboy’s shoeboxes are only 6qt (he has done variations with boot boxes) 3- You need more than just 1qt of spawn for Pasty’s tek while mushboy’s only requires 1qt (although you can use more depending on your spawn to sub ratio)

It doesn't because apples and oranges are hard to compare Decide if you want apples or if you want oranges.
