I haven't cloned any of my grows yet. I am growing tired of ordering syringes each time I want another batch. I'm thinking about starting agar next.
By cloning do you mean make a spore print? Or are you referring to collecting a tissue sample from a choice fruit?
I have 8 qts of pink buffalo that are a few days away from spawning and 8 qts of Argentinian. It's about to be foot locker in this closet!

Yes, I just put the other tub on top, maybe slightly off-center, but nothing major.
Those 3 shoeboxes I showed you came to...
1,300g Wet -------> ~150g Dry

I'm so excited!!
The only downside is there is so much rhizo it makes spotting the knots next to impossible. At least for now that is

be careful with overly rhizo growth. sometimes it can be the myc reacting to something.. not always just a food for thought.

yah your trays look ok but keep en eye open. when mine have had that look the surface tends to get matted more easily. and the substrate is weaker from the bacteria so its more open to contams.
like the sick kid at school.
when fruiting bacterial shoeboxes i tend to do more 'open air' fruiting.
as in ill just leave the lids off for a few hours a day after a misting.

Gotcha. None of jars smelled bacterial upon spawning. I might try your PCVG method next time instead of my modified bucket tek. I took a page out of bod's bucket tek and placed my bucket in an insulated cooler bag.

that pcvg shit i do needs a huge disclaimer. nothing about it is intended to solve any bacterial/contam issue.
AT ALL. its just a fun way to prep coco that myc gobbles like crack and can be stored for moooooonths.
but thanks for reading and trying it yourself.

I need to do it for the storage opportunity alone. I've read through quite a bit of posts and now I realize I am not the only person who runs out of time.
I swear if I have the time to do something I'm just a few days short of the items being delivered. The past few months have been a wicked cycle of failure > success > waiting > learning > repeat
I wouldn't take any of it back and I want to thank you for all of the input and suggestions

it dries out after a month or so. but it turns to dust. and has a texture similar to dehydrated aged hpoo.
i use measured out amounts in oven bags so i all do is grab whatever amount of bags, spawn/hydrate if needed with tap water.
the idea is to spend a few days just making a shit ton. so whenever you need too/want to spawn. you have it. no planning or waiting until your next day off to bucket tek/spawn. spawning a shoebox takes less then 30seonds.
its just part of how i like to manage/structure the time i spend doing mushcult.
24hr soaking wbs, pre cooked cvg in bags, shoeboxes.. its all ment to be done quickly at the moment it needs to be done.
i love monos but they require sooo much initial time and work. i remember spending weekends doing nothing.. i mean nothing but making bulk, spawning 100s of jars, pillow tekking poop. shitload of work for 20 monos of ms straight to wbs.

I feel you, the best part is isolated each small grow in a easy to throw out tray. My mono were like 30 to 40 lbs in weight totally a pain to pick one up and dump it. Heres my last four fruiting.

You must be the Harbinger of Truth.
I'm starting to see some yellow funk grow in the top left corners of all three tub and I find it pretty odd that they are all in the same location. It isn't the lighting because I inspected it in a different angle. I'm thinking that your bacteria observation was correct.

Here is a close up:

On the bright side I'm getting pins so all of this work was not done in vain

The yellow fuzz has subsided. I am noticing some bruising by the base of some of the fruits. Does this mean that they need more water?
