.. I took my questions over there but no one's posted on that thread for 2 and 1/2 months and I didn't get a response. Also... I am growing in a shoebox so I think my question is somewhat valid in this thread due to the fact that I am actually growing in a shoebox and trying to figure out how to make it happen... I get you though I'm just totally over-thinking it and I'm just going to have to figure it out on my own so you don't have to worry about me bothering you quite so much :-)

So bump it or make your own thread. Sorry, this is still not the thread to discuss this. Surface conditions are to be the same for every FC, it literally doesn't matter one bit what FC you use. The proper surface conditions are the same for monos as for shoes as for dubs. Misting doesn't change either, you point and squirt at all of them.

If you guys keep bring this shit up, I'm gonna start clickin whistles. Cut this shit out

I dub after a pinset. I think that's usually around 2 weeks for me after spawnimg

Do you mist before dubbing or wait that 2 weeks before ever misting? Just curious really not trying to add to the surface condition madness that has taken over this thread lol

Do you usually open the top and check the sub, or do you usually just leave it be with the lid on until the pin set comes in?

Yeah I dpawn and I don't touch it until I can look in the side and see a bunch of pins all over the place. I usually hold out as long as possible until a fruit forces me to dub.

Then I pop the lid, give a nice little mist or whatever, then throw the dub on

That's what works best for me so far as I can tell, but that's just me

Yeah for sure bro.

Just to clarify and answer your question, no I do not open the lid at all from spawn until I dub tub, i wait until after pins

Just so there's no confusion

From what I gathered, higher co2 might help create denser pinsets while increasing the fae encourages fruit growth.

Could be wrong, but I don't see any reason why you shouldn't wait to introduce more fae until you achieve the densest pinset possible, unless I'm mistake, and increasing fae and misting prior to pin formation can help

I don't like risking Introducing fae early and ruining our formation.

I've tried dubbing early etc and it works best for me to leave the lid on until after a dense pinset, then increase fae to encourage fruit growth

Exactly the answer I was looking for too. Thanks for the clarification. New to shoeboxes myself so learning from others mistakes is good so I don’t make the same mistakes.

Yeah no problem.

Sometimes we gotta find what works for us though, everyone does it differently, we all have different conditions and what not... Different methods and what not...

I think that technique is really dependent upon reaching a good field capacity for your sub as well, lots of factors could go into what works for one person and doesn't for another...

But that would be my suggestion. I try to stay as hands off as possible and just give the guys what they want so they'll give me what I want
