So, because these are very dense pinsets, I'm misting pretty frequently.. Anything else? bottom water? or maybe just bottom water between flushes

a pinset like that in a shobox will suck up lots of water. so bottom watering is a must. id do it now.
let it sit for like hour and pour out(carefully!)

or you can mist it like fucking crazy. either way. keep up with its water demands.:thumbup:

Thx Mushboy. another concern, im misting heavily, which alot of the water hits the sides of the tub and then slide down the sides and possibly pool at the bottom of the box? I'm sure itll get sucked up though, so no biggy eh?

if it does pool, pour it out.

i dont think ive ever been able to mist enough water at once to get puddles under the substrate tho.
i mean i could if i wanted but thats not why you would be misting anyway.

Yea, I figured. Well the pic with smaller pinsets, I guarantee I'm not misting enough, it was spawned at the same time as the other ones.

So when you dub tub it are you keeping the regular lid on until it starts fruiting and then doing that to make more space for fruits? My SB are at about 90% right and I think I'm gonna give dub tubs a try.


I'm just starting my endeavor into the massive black hole that is shoe boxes. I bought one the other day and now I somehow have eight of em... how did this happen?!?!?

Yea I just use the lid for awhile then they got close to the lid, then i just threw a tub on there instead...

That tub flush #1 wet was 428.5g

INSANE.
