Going to harvest later got tons of side pins too, and a few at the bottom.
Not a bad first attempt from a complete noob, with 1 poor pf tek under his belt
And I thought I had very poor spawn and mix together randomly know measuring
Very very happy to say the least thanks mushboy and everyone for keeping this thread alive

I fill the bathtub with bubbles and toss all my shoeboxes in. Then I jump in and wash 2 balls with one stone. Wait, or is that 2 birds? Oh whatever all the bits come out squeaky clean

They cost 1$ each. Unless your buying a 10 pack or something. Remember you may need double the amount of shoe boxes if your going to "dub tub" them

Either 5.2 or 6.5 quart boxes have been costing me between 50 cents and a dollar each. Even the 28 quart equivalent to the 6.5's I've been using were two dollars each, and they can fit three shoebox substrates in them.

Maybe a light misting from far away to get a little more moisture beading, but I would probably dubtub anytime from now to a few days from now.
I've been running my shoeboxes for about 12 days or so with the lid on, checking and lightly misting for surface conditions, if needed, around day 10, and then taking off the lid and moving to SGFC once the pinset is in. Its been working well for me in my environment.

unless your tubs are 100% airtight sealed up? everyone 'fruits' at spawning to a degree anyway imo. cheap plastic totes are not airtight. they fruit themselves.
dont over think it

Gave it a spritz and tossed the bag back on it. The bag seems to be doing a good job of keeping moisture, when it does evaporate it's a lot more even.

Hey people, hope you're all doing good!
I spawned this shoe box about 10 days ago, knotting like crazy and also some pins but something looks funky to me, small amber drops here and there over the surface, an insane amount of white spots with mycelium coming in between that looks like white silk cocoons. Smells like mycelium... also the mycelium in the jar was very rhizo and aerial.. Maybe just some bacterial spawn?
