If they didn't have a nice color would that be discrimination?

Don't feel bad, these are actually smaller than they look in the photo.

Some chubbies in this box! First one I've fruited with indirect sunlight instead of flouro. I cloned the big one toward the back onto agar this morning.

The foreground is a bit blurry, but it was still fairly dim this morning. That one grew quite a bit more by the time I got around to cloning it.
I would LOVE to see a whole box full of fatties like that!

That culture you’re going looks unique, not quite like the other leucistic varieties I’ve seen.

Seems like they are technically "leucistic" like LGT or something. They have dark spores. Definitely neat looking, even when dried. oh yeah, and STRONG!
The great white monster seems to have a reputation of being a rebranded leucistic A+ or something, but these results look pretty different from the pictures I've seen.
Not sure if the story of the mutation from accidental fungicide exposure is true or what. Funny to think about though.
Spore prints will be in progress in coming days!

Can anyone chime in on “salvaging” or “repairing” a pinset?
My first tub: developed hyphal knots —> primordia on all the sides and top surface. lots of trial and error on surface conditions but developed side pins everywhere.
Second and third tubs: same story —> developed hyphal knots —> primordia on all the sides and top surface BUT since they fruited a few days later than my first tub, they had 3-4 more days of proper surface conditions. The second and third tub each probably had 1.5x to 2x larger yield than my first tub, with almost no side pins!!! This is in spite of my first tub showing way more surface pins than the 2nd and 3rd tub when pins were just starting to appear! The side primordia/knots basically didn’t develop into fruits once I got the surface conditions in check. And all the development shifted towards the surface.
Did I get lucky? Or does 3-4 more days of good surface conditions make that much of a difference in side pins?
